Not really? I want everyone to play at the upmost ability they are capable of. I play highschool soccer (My Senior Year), and will hopefully be playing D-1 ball at UMKC (University of Missouri at Kansas City) next year. Now when everyone is working togethor and swinging the ball around it is amazing what we can accomplish, but when just a few people don't have their heads in the game then it can turn into a dissaster.

There were plenty of games last year when most of the team was playing pretty good, but a few guys were not giving it their all.

Examples (I will exclude Delhomme from this argument because I could use every came he played)

@ Philadelphia- DeAngelo Williams only had 37 yards on 14 carries.

@ Atlanta- Defense got torched by Matt Ryan and Michael Turner.

@ Dallas- Whole Team was awful. Defense gave up 449 yards and the Offense did not produce one bit.

These are just some examples I could give you more but I really don't have the time.

You're misunderstanding the point of this post. Of course we need everyone playing at a high level. That being said, we have several players who have already "stepped up". Thus they don't need to step up, they just need to continue playing at a high level.

Alright, I see where you are coming from, and in that case here is my two cents. Sorry, I did ten.

1. Dwayne Jarrett/Brandon LaFell/ Armanti Edwards- Everyone should know the reason why, but if you don't well here is a secret for you.......we need another good receiver.

2. Matt Moore- Our receiver's are only going to be as good as the quarterback lets them. Moore needs to play the way he is capabale of, but with the heart, passion, and drive of his former mentor Jake Delhomme.

3. Tony Fiametta/Tyrell Sutton/ Rashawn Jackson- With Hoover gone we are gonna have a new fullback leading the way for Williams and Stewart. Hopefully one of the three is up to the task.

4. Everrette Brown- It's time to see what your made of EB, you learned from one of the best now it is time to show Panther Nation who and how good you are.

5. Chris Gamble/Richard Marshall/Charles Godfrey/Sherrod Martin/Captain Munnerlyn- Three of the five guys will see their roles increased significantly and they need to prove to themselves and to others that the Panthers secondary is not to be taken lightly.

6. Louis Leonard/Tank Tyler- It's finally your time to shine Tank and Louis. Now go out their and prove to everyone that teams won't be able to beat you on the ground.

7. Duke Robinson/Geoff Schwartz- These two guys will see a lot more time on the field and they have the opportunity to be apart of history as D-Will and J-Stew go for back to back 1,100 yard seasons a piece. They also have the distinct opportunity of protecting Matt Moore in his first season as a starter. Go out there and make us proud.

8. James Anderson/Dan Connor/Jamar Williams/Eric Norwood- One of you will be the strong side linebacker, the other three need to be ready because you will be a valuable part to our linebacker success this year.

9. Mike Goodson- Mike, if you happen to make the team you need to prove your worth or else you could be gone next year.

10. Jeff King/Gary Barnidge/Dante Rosario- These three tight ends need to be ready to block, but also need to be ready to catch some touchdowns because with Matt Moore at the helm they will see the ball a lot more.

I'm Done, Go Panthers

I really tried too pick player who haven't shown much but are more crucial too the success of the team.

2. Matt Moore- Our receiver's are only going to be as good as the quarterback lets them. Moore needs to play the way he is capabale of, but with the heart, passion, and drive of his former mentor Jake Delhomme.

Matt Moore = More then stepping up needs too build on the work he has already done as a starter.

Gamble and Marshall need too keep up their good play from last year more then step up.

Anybody who wins the RG spot will be help by the other proven players we have on the line. So they might not need too be breakout players like Tank, EB, CJ and LL need too be. Same for the strongside LB spot he just needs too be ok because he plays beside 2 of the best LB in the league.

Mike goodson could be on the bench all year and we still could have a winning season. Him stepping up is not vital to the teams success. It would be a bouns if he could become another weapon on Special teams and the offense.

(1) While I think Tyler and Leonard will play well against the run, I wish the Panthers had a starting DT with some pass rush ability. Tyler and Leonard are more stay at home types, rather than giving a strong push up the middle. Maybe Corvey Irvin (the 3rd DT) will be everything they hope for (but you never know what to expect from a players first season), and win a starting job before seasons end, allowing Tyler to split time at NT with Leonard. The Panthers will probably only be able to have 4 DT's active for game day, with the 4th DT probably being Ed Johnson, Derek Landri, Nick Hayden, or some DT signed after the final roster cuts. Three young DT's to watch, who might be cut, but with little or no game experience, are Dre' Moore (6-4, 305, 4.84-40, 1.62-10), Clinton McDonald (6-2, 290, 4.83-40), or NT-Chris Baker (6-2 1/2, 326, 4.94-40, 1.65-10), though they might have to trade a little for him.

(2) I like the Panthers DE's (and like them even more if Hardy is fully healthy), and the young DE's have very good pass rush potential. Of the starting DE's, Brayton is a good run defender, and Charles Johnson is at least average or better against the run. One problem for the DE rotation might be 45 man game day roster limit. That means the Panthers will at most only be able to have 21 defenders active on game day. One position will get shorted (not having a backup for every starter), so will the Panthers only be able to have 3 DE's, 5 LB's, or 7 DB's active on game day? This could mean (baring injuries) that Greg Hardy and Eric Norwood will have to battle for the same game day roster spot as the 4th DE, and this would probably mean Norwood would get the edge, rather than leave the team short (only 2 backups) at LB.

(3) If all the rookie WR's develop well, then the Panthers WR's have great depth, but as Jarrett has proven, you can't count on a rookie WR's production. That's why I posted the other day that Dwayne Bowe might become available. A proven big (6-2, 221) young (25) WR like Bowe, with 70, 86, and 46 in his 3 seasons, would eliminate any doubt about the 2nd starting WR spot. Bowe is still on his rookie contract, so he might be the only WR with that type of production, that the Panthers might be willing to assume his salary ($600,000 in 2010, and %690, 000 in 2011).

(4) I covered this point while discussing the DT's and DE's individually.

(5) I don't think you can change a player into a head hunter if he isn't born that way, and would trying to it with Godfrey be worth the added injury risk?

(6) I like both Barnidge and Rosario, but it's hard to get many catches while on the bench, and with Fox's feelings about the running game, he will probably continue to start Jeff King, because of his better blocking.
