Rank the all-time Panther QBs

Recommended Posts

Good pick there, but I wouldn't put Moore as #3, since he never play a game as a full time starter. Same for Vinny too.

My list would go like this from the best at #1.

1.) Jake Delhomme

2.) Steve Beuerlein

3.) Kerry Collins (until he later collapse during the middle of his 3rd season here)

4.) Chris Weinkie

5.) Rodney Peete

6.) Frank Reich

Quoted Fo Troof! nice list

Yeah but Beuerlein was our most talented and most skilled QB. It's not his fault that he didn't have a team around him like Jake has had (when I say team Im talking Offense and Defense). I bet if Jake started when Beuerlein did (98-00), Jake would'nt have as much success. But if Beuerlein started the many years Jake has (03-09), he would've had just as much if not more success. I judge on on the field play instead of emotional worth.

Highly presumptive argument.

Beuerlein beats Jake in every major passing category while Jake has had better talent around him. Don't confuse reality with hate.

The thread wasn't 'rate the QBs by stats alone'. Sure Jake didn't have better stats than Beuerlein but that doesn't mean Jake didn't do more for this franchise. You may be confusing reality with your own hate for Jake.

Didn't just mention stats there bud. I said he was the most talented and skilled, which he was. The stats just back it up. Sorry that on the field performance (reality) conflicts with your own personal feelings.

Really? 2008, Jake has the best team around him in his entire career (better than what Beuerlien has had) yet has the highest number of bad games of his career. Not to mention Beuerlein had better mechanics, accuracy, decision making, and scrambling skills.

Riiight. Because it isn't blatantly obvious you have no personal feelings that keep you bashing Jake for a guy who never brought us to a Super Bowl and 2 NFC title games.

1. Jake Delhomme 2003-2009 2,669 1,580 19,258 59.2 120 89 82.6

2. Steve Beuerlein 1996-2000 1,723 1,041 12,690 60.4 86 50 87.7

3. Kerry Collins 1995-1998 1,340 694 8,306 51.8 47 54 66.0

4. Chris Weinke 2001-2006 687 373 3,800 54.3 14 26 61.4

5. Rodney Peete 2002-2004 392 228 2,652 58.2 15 14 76.6

Beuerlein has the better QB rating at 87.7 to Delhomme's 82.6 and completion percentage of 60.4 to 59.2. Just two years of difference between the two as far as longevity. Delhomme has better other numbers though. It really depends what system of ranking you decide on who was better
