Rank the all-time Panther QBs

Recommended Posts

By their contributions it isn't close.

Jake was our most successful and it isn't even close.

Collins had the second most success but had no heart.

Buerelein was our most talented quarterback.

Vinnie was the most knowledgeable.

Everyone else isn't worth ranking or didn't play enough to be ranked (like Moore who hasn't played a whole season).

Delhomme

Beuerlein

Collins

Peete

Testaverde

Reich

Weinke

I'd be tempted to rank Peete above Collins, but it's a tough call.

Moore is still largely an unknown. Ask me again where he ranks after this season's over. Likewise, we may not know much about Clausen or Pike for a while.

The rest? Throw 'em in a hat and pick names one at a time.

Never ceases to amaze me how before January 2009, 95% of the people on here would have Jake #1. It pisses me off to see how fickle fans are. Four+ good seasons, one half of a bad season and people say he was never good. I've seen people wearing Jake jerseys rip them off at games when he would throw an INT, then proudly put them back on after the next drive where he threw a TD pass.

Jake is first, and it isn't even close. At all. Chris Weinke has awesome mechanics and he was 6'6" and built like a brick house. Jake actually won games.

1. Delhomme

2. Beureline

3. Peete

4. Moore

5. Vinny

After that I don't care. I guess Craig would be 6th because he used to be a preseason superstar. f**k Kerry Collins though.

Do you know who supposedly has talent? Jay Cutler.

Todd Marinovich, Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell--tons of talent in that group too. :)

I like Matt Moore, but I think David Carr would have gone 6-2 with the defensive performances that he's enjoyed. He hasn't been around long enough to be in this discussion.

Chris Weinke probably had more talent than Jake, was he a better QB?
