Two Important Dates Are Looming For Panthers CB Richard Marshall.

In 10 day (June 15th), if Marshall hasn't signed his $1.759 million free agent tender by then, the Panthers can reduce his 2010 contract amount to $.583 million (110% of last years salary). While it would seem crazy of him to give up around #1.2 million by not signing, who knows.

If Marshall doesn't sign (hoping for a bigger long term contract), then a holdout could become possible. If he were to holdout past August 10th, then a new 30 (prior to the start of the season) day rule will kick in, causing him to lose a year of service toward free agency this year. He could gamble that a new CBA will only require 4 years to become a unrestricted free agent.

s much as I thought I liked him, it seemed like he got burnt a few times when we really needed a stop, and the fact that he is acting like he is our no.1 corner because he was bumped up form nickle the no.2 is insane, he has great talent and can tackle but this whole situation is ridiculous
