Carolina Panthers WR Jarrett shows new dedication

Now that there's a quality QB at the helm, he has no excuses. We'll know for sure this season whether or not he'll make it.

thats what ive always been saying, i've always thought jarrett wasnt getting a fair shot simply because of delhomme, but with moore, there really is no excuse, its his time to show what he can do and what he has learned or get out. The guy has talent and hopefully it shows why he was a second round pick, lol if not im sure we could trade him to seattle lmao

Its been a long time coming if it in fact comes to fruition that this kid is in fact a diamond in the rough. However, it is a sign that he continues to get better (if in fact this article also proves true) His steps may be small and his learning curve may not be as straight up as we would all have liked it but his perfect body cannot be discounted. If the mental part of the game including dedication and preparation fill out the brain atop his prototypical frame then we are of course a better franchise for it.

Good work DJ. Keep it up and know that we will be pullin' for ya big guy!

:rolleyes5::rolleyes5:

doesnt matter at this point. expectations have been much higher. he's been overpaid to this point and he'd have to come out as a superstar to warrant being resigned. even if he manages to be better than average, lafell will most likely be as good and with the expectations of edwards in the slot, who needs jarrett any more??? the upside to lafell and edwards is too high. he had his chance...

... too little, too late!

Keeping him would eventually cost us someone like Edwards or LaFell or even Gettis. Think it is time to let the younger guys join the fun.

If he stinks, he'll be let go. If he breaks out to be a superstar, they won't be able to keep him with all the other contracts that are up.

Yes it is going to be hard to put him in the $$$$ mix once the new CBA is put into place. If he has a great year I don't see how we are going to be able to keep him along with Kalil, Beason, Davis and so on.

Replace Jarrett's name with Kerry Colbert, and you will see this article is 5 years old.

Unlike Colbert, Jarrett has proven he can actually catch the ball when it is thrown to him. Jarrett seems slow and unable to get open much, but I want to see how he does with a full year of a decent QB.

What about Drew Carter?? Unless he is a little bit improvement over him. :D

I think you get my point.

I've read too many off-seasons articles on underachieving Pathers WRs who are "finally improving".

Sad that Moose has been our best # 2 WR. Our scouting dept has a very shitty record when it comes to WRs.

Yeah, he was a 2nd round pick... so was Eric Shelton.

Yeah, he has shown he can make some terrific catches... so did Carter occasionally.

Yeah, he was a stand-out receiver at USC.. so was Colbert, iirc.

Same song, same dance. I hope he can finally prove himself to be a consistant and dependable receiver for us, but I ain't gonna place a mortgage bet on him to do so. Sure, the Williamson connection was a bad one for him, but all of us has had a boss we hated and couldn't relate to, but I'm pretty positive we never underproduced for them and kept our job for four years. Time to poo or get off the pot for Jarrett... it will be interesting to follow in TC this year.
