I wouldn't call it cheating...in fact, I think it's what you're supposed to do; because the first time I played it I trained until I could beat the Zolom--and by the time I could I was level 30 and the rest of the game was hopelessly easy (save for the weapons)--which was fine for me because I care for the story more than gameplay anyway, but if someone does want a challenge then beating the Zolom the first time might not be the best way to go.

Oh no I know it's the way that is easiest to get by the Zolom but it is possible to beat him early on. It requires a little bit of luck but having Beta early in the game is well worth it!

You must have never encountered Ruby Weapon. You can't beat him unless you spend countless hours grinding. He's challenging, to put it lightly.
