I love how you didn't read my entire post...

Now who just got burned?

Um, no one got burned. This is a pathetic attempt to make me appear foolish. You clearly stated first that LaFell is a "burner." I showed you stats of similar 40 times between Jarrett and LaFell and then you point out that you said Jarrett is not a burner. You are just confusing yourself, einstein.

40 yard dashes don't mean a damn thing in the NFL... maybe as a measuring tool. This is something I've stated before. It's all about how fast they are in pads... and Lafell's vids show that he has potential to be a burner in the NFL. Not saying that he will be, just predicting that he might be. Way to be a douche man...

Actually 40 speed does matter but it isn't the only or even the most important measure. Quickness meaning the ability to cut sharply and accerlerate quickly is very important coming in and out of breaks. The ability to get separation off the line is another key factor in allowing a receiver to get open. And finally running good routes and not telgraphing where you are going is important as well. Finally catching the ball when it arrives is the last but critical piece as well.

While LaFell is totally uinproven if Jarrett and Lafell have similar speed then this is how I see them stack up.

LaFell is more physical and can get off the line better. LaFell looks a little better on his breaks and getting open.

Jarrett has improved his route running over the past few years and catches most everything thrown his way. He would get the edge if he has done enough to bulk up his upper body in order to get separation off the line. In years past that was his biggest problem, he rarely was open. Lafell is the stronger more physical receiver and already is a good blocker. Unless Jarrett has done some great offseason work he will have an uphill battle if LaFell can hold onto the ball and learn the playbook.
