Make him the asst BFF QB coach and pay the 4million to hold BYs hand, theres no cap space there. Panthers have less than 1% chance at playoffs, draft a QB in the mid rounds and use that cash for starters.

I liked Derek Anderson a lot but he was a pal nothing more. Cam Newton in his early years was rookie of the year and built like a tank. People might have had questions about Cam's accuracy but that was it. Nothing at all comparable to the still unanswered questions about Bryce. At the end of the day the people justifying this are the same people who were in here shouting down concern about preseason last year. Carrying water for the decision makers of the sports franchise with the worst win percentage in professional sports is just coping.

I think everyone on this board knew that they weren’t gonna bring legit competition for Bryce’s job next year. They’re all in on him including his backup QB mentor.

I’m gonna save my hand-wringing for the draft. Because you know some stupid poo is gonna go down

So you’d like to waste a mid round draft pick on a QB when we have a million other holes to fill? Heck, we could use one of those mid round picks you’d like to use on a QB on an impactful RB instead. It’s a very deep RB class.  Also, have you heard of Will Grier and Matt Corral? They sure panned out. Panthers historically can’t draft QB’s past the first round worth a damn. I’m glad you’re not the GM

I would sign Cam as a buck-up and then cut him.  He needs a good humbling.
