heart palpitations

Anybody get them? If so what caused them?

I've had them on an occasional basis for a while, but in the last week they have gotten much more frequent.

I've heard they often have benign causes, especially in young, relatively fit people like me.

It's getting to the point where I'm going to need to see the doctor. Am I about to die?

It could be harmless. My wife has them, and she also has an irregular heartbeat. She's gone to the doctors several times, only to be told not to worry about it.

She does have high blood pressure, but I don't think it's as a result of the palpitations or irregular heartbeat.

I've been reading about the health benefits of cayenne pepper, which I love. Many claim that cayenne and water can "bring people out" off a heart attack, and also prevent heart problems. There are tons of other benefits, but it can apparently do wonders for the heart.

I leave all of my rep points to cookinwithgas

I leave all of my pie to Saltman

I leave all of my clever posts to scrum

I leave all of my trying to be clever posts that fell short of the mark to meat.

Goodbye, cruel world.

Lying in the bed at night, if they started up, it felt like the bed was shaking before I had my heart attack. I still get them sometimes, feels like my heart is fluttering. My heart is damaged, though.

My son developed them a month or so ago. Felt like his heart was gonna pound out of his chest, along with elevated heart rate. He's wearing a heart monitor for the next month just to be on the safe side, since my family has a history of heart problems. All his other tests came back fine.

it gets better with intense activity and caffeine believe it or not... and worse when I'm sitting or laying around and then get up.

Feels like my heart stops for a beat, lurches, and beats harder the next beat.

Rarely I get the fast ones directly after.

    • I like how they were about to punt the ball right before the two minute warning before being like... oh fug, this'll be too obvious we gotta try a FG then ole boy skulls one that never got more than about 12 feet off the ground. LOL!
    • The two point conversion plays were idiotic. They'd been killing them all night running the ball and running run/pass options then they basically played the OTs like they were a pure passing offense. Not putting King on the move with a run/pass option not even once in OT is gonna haunt them.
    • Gotta give the Raiders credit - instead of going for the win they intentionally lose the game to keep a top 3 draft pick in play for them. That is how you tank and wish we could learn a thing or two from them
