Four QB's - What do you think will happen?

Moore will be the starter as he should be for most of the season, but I think Clausen will eventually take over whether its late in the season or 2011. Hes too talented not to. You dont try to trade up into the 1st round to get a QB unless you see him doing big things in the future of your organization.

That was a Florio statement. All QBs take snaps with the number two team, Clausen didn't rise up the depth chart as PFW reported it.

QFT

I think that we'll end up with Moore as our starter, Clausen as our number two, and Pike as the third QB. Cantwell will be on the PS for another season, and it won't be because he's not as talented as Pike. It's all about trying to keep other teams from grabbing one of your guys, and he's the least likely to get picked up by another team.

This.

Pike will draw interest just because of his size. If he shows any promise, he'll need to be protected.

We have 4 QBs on the roster at present. I would not be surprised to see a more experienced backup signed before the season starts. If we do not do that, I'll wager that Pike will end up on the practice squad if he is not released.

But if we do sign another backup, I expect either Pike or Cantwell to be released, with who ever is retained releagted to the PS.

Moore and Clausen will be #1 and #2 coming out of camp. IMO Moore 95% sure of being #1.

I don't think we want to lose Pike but Cantwell is improving so we could lose either if we put them on the PS. We will be lucky if we have Cantwell on the PS. Sadly IMO he is better than Pike but Pike will be #3 because the chances of losing Cantwell off the PS squad is lower than if we put Pike there.

I see it as 1.Moore 2.Pike 3.Clausen and Cantwell either Ps or out of the door. But I honestly think in the long run Pike's career will overshadow Clausen I'll probably get heat for my thoughts but everyone doesn't think alike.

I'm not gonna give you hell for it dude, but geeze, really? I just don't see Pike being all that great down the road. Just because he's big, doesn't mean anything. Derek Anderson stands pretty tall in the pocket, but you see how his career went in Cleveland... even though the Browns suck by default. Pike just has a really slow release, and I don't think he makes good decisions when under pressure. Moore is the #1 QB, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. 2011, could be a different story... Why? Because Clausen has some serious accuracy for a QB that started behind an atrocious offensive line for an entire year. Just imagine what he could do after a year on the bench, studying NFL situations... then coming in behind a stout NFL offensive line!!! And Cantwell seems to be growing. And from some of the reports I've read, he's got a serious arm.

QB1: Matt Moore

QB2: Jimmy Clausen

QB3: Hunter Cantwell

PS: Tony Pike (and another team is more likely to snag him than not)

Pike left after his Junior year didn't he? Probably because of the coaching change. It would've REALLY helped him to stay another year in school so that scouts had a whole year to watch him instead of just the a few months of scouting camps like the Combine. I feel like he is really athletic and competitive and will make it in the NFL, but being in the Spread Offense in college has hurt him early. I would not be surprised if he is an eventual starter for an NFL team and does well.
