i could give a rats ass that he visited the tailgate. how long have people been asking for the logo on the field and he has yet to do so.he rather have the shield and protect the shield . other teams are preparing for a lockout but are not purging everyone who is against it. he is preparing this team for the short term and not the long term, with all this money we are saving what guy is going to want to come on here and play for him. not to mention he is sitting on all this money, and have yet to lock up the young core guys and increased the ticket prices. cheaper product with higher tickets is not cool. as much as i hate fox he has really set fox up for failure. some people are big on next year saying they see the playoffs but right now i dont see it.

Don't like the ticket prices? Don't buy 'em.

yes i realize that but still why put anybody in that position?the logo thing was just an example of how he could care less about what the fans say.even chris harris agent said it. since we dont bring in big name free agents why save all this money for the future, who you going to spend it on? that young core will not be here if he sits back on his wallet like he is doing.

Jerry Richardson cares about the fans more than any other owner in the NFL. Genuinely.

i feel like this year is getting the team ready to play under new rules that the upcoming CBA will more than likely put in place, including possibly a lower salary cap. Im sure Jerry has an idea about what this new arrangement might be, because he is on the inside.

I don't know how to explain it where it would be understandable, but the salary cap will not go down. The NFL is not going to punish every other team just because one wants to go cheap. If that were the case, everybody's contract would have to be voided- they were written and approved with certain stipulations in place. Were the cap to be reduced, most of the other teams would be over the cap through no fault of their own, and those other teams aren't going to start cutting players because one guy wants to go cheap.

If you don't agree with the price to go to the game, then don't go. Nobody is forcing your hand.

Actually JR is forcing the hand. If I dont pay for my season tickets I forfeit my PSLs which I spent thousands of dollars on which means JR can continue to put a medicore product on the field and his PSL owners have to deal with it or lose money on their investment. Sounds petty to you but the fact is JR has his season ticket holders by their balls.

Its rather obvious that you work for the panthers in some capacity. Its your job to exagerate/kiss JRs ass and tell everyone what a great owner he is since he is paying you to do so.

Bitch bitch bitch bitch bitch. First of all. You agreed to the terms of the contract. So honor it.

Second, the panthers tickets are still not even in the top 10 prices in the nfl. If you don't like that, can't afford it, then you shouldn't have made that commitment. I'm sure somebody will be happy to buy them off of you.

Amazing how ungrateful people are when they start taking things for granted.

Um, the team is only 15 years old. THEY SHOULDNT BE IN THE TOP 10 IN NFL PRICES OR ANYWHERE CLOSE TO IT!! HELLOOOOO!!!! They havent been around long enough or even productive enough to justify that. What a lame argument!

If someone wants to buy my PSLs for the price I paid then Im all ears.

He shits the fans by being greedy thats how. How about raising ticket prices 8 out of the last 10 years including after the 1-15 season?

Don't attend a frickin' game if you don't like it then, crybaby. There are still plenty of people who are willing to pay for it & attend the games. Beside, isn't the franchise a private organzation? They run differently.

Or raising them again this year when we all know we're rebuilding and doing it during a shitty economy?

Maybe part of the reason he is raising the prices because we may not have a NFL games at all in 2011-2012 season. With how that is likely going to happend, he probably want to increase the tickets price so they can save up well with not being able to get money for a year with no games in sight. Not to mention we need to sign Kalil, Williams, Beason, etc. With how they're going to be expensive to get a new contracts, I think the ticket prices going up could help.

Did he spend any of that money to make the team better? Nope!

Ever heard of contract extension?? Like my previous comments said, he could help us better with the ticket prices by using it to keep Kalil, Williams, Beason, & other players we need to keep at all cost. First fans complain Richardson is cheap with not signing Pep or some other players and now they're complaining he is too greedy?!? Make up your damn mind, folks! :rolleyes5:

How about the way he goes out of his way to keep things from the fans?

Example.....?

Like I said, hes an ok owner but nothing special. I think people are just caught up in his "good ol boy" image that he tries to play.

So would you rather he be like Al Davis than the "good o' boy"?? So sad.

how long have people been asking for the logo on the field and he has yet to do so.he rather have the shield and protect the shield .

I don't know what wrong with the NFL shield. That just his way of thanking the NFL for giving us the Panthers. Beside, have you forgotten that we did have 2 small Panthers logo on the field? Isn't that enough for you? I rather have 2 small Panthers logo on the field than not being able to get the big one on the field. I won't lose any sleep if we were to get the big logo to replace the NFL shield, but 2 small Panthers logo with the shield is fine.

he is preparing this team for the short term and not the long term

How you know for sure? You don't.

with all this money we are saving what guy is going to want to come on here and play for him.

Many players, for sure!! Beside, you don't think we should keep Kalil, Beason, & Williams if Richardson save the money to keep them? Most save money in order to offer a new contracts to their best players. I support him saving money & increasing some prices if it help keeping those 3 as I said over & over.

not to mention he is sitting on all this money, and have yet to lock up the young core guys and increased the ticket prices.

He can't lock up some of the young core guys because he can't afford them yet! Why you think that might be the reason he is increasing the ticket prices?!?

as much as i hate fox he has really set fox up for failure.

Sorry, but that is fault. The coach is what could set himself up for failure if it's happend, not the owner. Don't point your finger at Richardson for claiming he is setting Fox up for failure, 'cause he is not!

some people are big on next year saying they see the playoffs but right now i dont see it.

Doom & gloom, aren't you? I think we will be in the Playoffs again with an easier schedule this time along with our defense & offense getting better. You forgot about Double Trouble still on the team & will help us once more beside a improvement O-Line.

Dude,

Do yourself a favor and stop trying to sound witty. You're really not good at at it. I mean you're REALLY not good at it. LMAO!

Every team is a "private organization". I assume you meant the stadium was privately funded which again isnt true since the PSL dollars that the season ticket holders purchased help pays for i. If I have to pay for the product or lose the money I investmed then why wouldnt go to the games? Its easy to call others crybabies when you have nothing invested in the team like I do.

One of the charactersitics of being greedy is also being cheap. Jerry doesnt want to spend much money to make the team better but wants to collect as much money as possible by rasing ticket prices. That would make him cheap and greedy. Who says you have to be one or the other? Again, stop trying to be witty because you're really not good at it.

I havent heard about any contract extensions for Williams, Kalil, Moore, Beason, etc yet and neither have their agents. You know something that the rest of us dont? Please share! If that was the reason for letting peppers and Harris walk then Im sure they would have already gotten contract extensions by now.

Oh and Al Davis is a HOFer last time I checked. Something that JR will never be.

I know I'm more witty than you with how you whine & whine with making false accusations about Richardson. It sound like you clearly hate Richardson & don't like what he's doing because you don't agree with it, so go cheer for a different team. Maybe you should cheer for the Raiders since you're saying Al Davis is a HoF & he is a better owner. Maybe he's a HoF at being a moron which Richardson isn't, Bobby.

Since bob doesn't think the panthers are worth cheering for, he should auction his psls to the highest bidder. Take a loss, you cry baby, and go find yourself something you deem is worth cheering for, as it will obviously never be the panthers.

The money I spend on my team I don't even worry about. Sure, there are many times I spend a lot of money on them. So what. If ya can't afford to live without that money, then ya never should have made the decision to spend it.

I know, some people view psls as an investment, almost like stock.bif that's how you view it, then that's your own fault. Id be happy to have psls and be at every home game. I've spent enough money on a single away game, to pay for season tickets.boh well, that's the price that needed to be paid to ensure what I wanted.

Doesn't matter that you don't think the panthers are worth it. They won't miss you in the stands.

Yep. People who sell their PSLs because they don't like what the owner is doing should never root for that team again. Even if I don't like some of the things Richardson does, I would never sell my PSLs. That one of the rule you don't do when you're a fan of the team.

and your basing this easy schedule on last year, this is the nfl we can easily go from 10-6 to 6-10. i have no problem with him raising prices if he locks up those young core guys but he hasnt. if he waits it might be too late, and of course they are not going to throw him under the bus for sitting on his wallet because he has the leverage.

its pretty obvious he is setting up for this lock-out year. not allowing fox to bring in any talent is setting him up for failure. yeah those contracts were bad and most needed to get off the books but not bring in any fa but special teamers is taking a big chance.

as of right now i dont see the playoffs. remember 08 we made the playoffs and got smashed because the team was not made for that time. that poo was horrible, i wished we didnt even make the playoffs after that performance. this squad is no were better than that one besides the qb position.
