Uhh KG was playing absolutely terribly all night' date=' the only big that is honestly an impact player for the Celts thus far is Perkins...[/quote']

I don't care how bad KG played tonight. He is the anchor of the Celtics defense. And an out of rhythm KG is 10x the player that S.Williams is.

But I'm not in the business of talking about "what ifs". I'm only pointing out that the refs were horrible on both ends. End of story. Who knows if the Lakers win if Kobe plays his normal minutes. Who knows if the Lakers would have cut the Celtics big lead down to 6 before half if KG would have been in the game.

It's all hypothetical. And I don't care for hypothetical arguments.

I can agree with you on that no point in wasting anymore time typing debate out about hypothetical situations.....

the refs just didn't let them play today. phantom foul calls on both teams

one thing i can say on behalf of the lakers is that they only lost by like 10, and everything went wrong for them. their shooting was sub par, kobe didn't play well, really nobody on the lakers had a good performance other than bynum and gasol, and you can't count on ray allen shooting 8 for 11 3-pointers every single game

The Refs sucked game 1 as well. Some of the calls on the Allen's were horse poo.

But, what fun would it be if the Lakers were up 2-zip?

This series will build slowly to a game 7 orgasm when the Refs will swallow their whistles.

By the way, anyone seen Lamar Odom?

idk, i'd be much more comfortable if the lakers wrapped this up in 5, 6 at the most, and still be entertained to a satisfactory level.

...that'll require LA to go 2 out of 3 in boston, which is tough, but they are very capable at winning on the road, and the Celtics have lost at home this postseason

well good on Boston tying up the series, but I have to echo so many of the previous comments....far too many ticky tacky fouls being called, on both sides. Game 1 was bad enough, but game 2 was even worse. Hard to get too excited with a game when the whistle never fricken stops. How many times the announcers even said that there shouldn't have been a call made...I know it went both ways, but game 2 was pathetic. Good thing the hockey game was on at the same time!!!

I was talking about his entire game as a whole not the 2 minute stretch you are talking about....and tell me again why Kobe deserved the two bogus calls???

rondo was the guy who set up ray for those looks, somebody had to pass it to him. and it was bogus calls every where im just glad kobe didnt get excused from those bs calls.

Agreed, the refs were all around horrible last night and that was going both ways. Boston got what it needed to win, Rondo and Allen playing lights out and the bench playing good minutes.

At the end of the day the calls are no excuse, and all that matters is that the Celtics won. Are you really going to still remember exactly how bad the calls were in game two of the 2010 finals, in say, 2025? No, you will be watching a game and will see some stat about the finals from then and think about how the Celtics or Lakers won the title.

That doesn't mean the calls don't matter, I just doubt I will remember exactly how bad it was in a month, much less years from now. It matters who pulls through it and wins.
