You're damn right. The real King doesnt shoot his team out of games only for his fans to scapegoat his teammates for not showing up. How could they when the "black hole" comes out in the 3rd in panic mode and shoots every shot? Its not a coincidence that despite his 19 point outburst and difficult fadeaway shots, the Celtics lead expanded from 6 to double digits at that point. Kobe cant beat this team by himself. By the time the 4th quarter rolled around, the 31 year old looked too old, tired, and fatigued once again to knock down a shot and his teammates were slow defensively and offensively from being shut out most of the 2nd half. People mistake "will to shoot" with a "will to win", and people compare the "black hole" to Jordan when they should compare him to "Pistol Pete" another player who lived for making tough shots and didnt care about shooting percentages. With 2 games left in LA I guarantee you Doc Rivers & the gang are praying, hoping, begging for Kobe to come out and shoot the ball as much as possible. Good things happen for the Celtics when he does.

I mean there are loads of Lakers fans on this board and i have mentioned i like Lebron a lot and go to see the Cavs just to see him. Hell if Cavs where in the finals i would be in Cleveland going to the games. And yet you try and call me out. Too funny. Im not really tryna call you out Im just asking you to be consistent. I dont think Ive ever seen you be critical of Bryant ever. I dont think Ive ever seen you to tell people to stop talking about him ever. Yet after 1 good game in this Finals (against a real NBA defense, something he's lucky he doesnt play against regularly in the Western Conference) you got gassed and called him "the real King" in an obvious slight to LeBron. Thats too many shots KG!!! Kobe doesnt need to be taking 20+ shots, thats why they're losing. If Kobe was as smart as yall claim he is, he'd take about 10-15 shots a game and primarily be a facilitator this series. He needs to get about 20 points, 11 assists, 5 rebounds a game and the Lakers would win. Lakers need to "feature" Pau Gasol and work the paint and post like they've been doing all playoff. But lately Kobe has been hoisting shot after shot outside of the O which doesnt keep his teammates involved. Just because he hits bullshit ass tough shots doesnt make them "good shots" and the Celtics defense will love for him to fire up low percentage bricks creating long rebounds for them to get out into transition with. Lakers cant win behind Bryant trying to be LeBron, their only chance is to get more contributions from Gasol & Bynum where they have their biggest advantage.

Ok i understand what you're saying. I'm a fan of players and my teams just like you. I like Kobe and i like Lebron. They are both fun to watch. I'm not trying to be critical of Lebron. I was just really disappointed in Lebron's effort this year in the playoffs. As much as he talks about getting that ring he seemed really out of it this year. I don't know if it is free agency or what but he didn't seem the same. He has labeled himself the King but he has nothing to show for it. He has one playoff highlight of him hitting a winner in a series he lost. Kobe i really don't see that from. He always seems to be fighting no matter what. I used to hate Kobe. I hated him when Shaq was there. I thought he shot way to much and was just a bitch. I just think he has finally matured into a leader and a really good player. And i have enjoyed watching him play lately. Haven't had anything bad to say about him. I don't think he is shooting them out of it. He is their scorer. He is just not as much of a threat as he once was because he is getting old. He should be trying to get Gasol and Odom more involved. He is not better then Jordan and never will be no matter how many rings he wins.

Just my two cents.... If the C's win Rondo would have to be the MVP. Even last night he made the key plays. He's had HUGE plays both on offense and defense thru out the series. When Ray Allen was on he got him the ball. His facilitated this team excellently with assists, his rebounds, scoring, defense, and big plays at big times. The only thing you can knock him on is his free throws, and he didn't take that many so.

But this is all premature as they still have to find away to win in LA.

A rookie of the year award, 2 MVPs, a Finals appearance at 22 years old (for a franchise that had never been), a gold medal, and 2 all star MVPs is nothing to show for it?

For the Lakers to win Kobe needs to display the b-ball IQ of LeBron and get his teammates involved. He needs to make the smart play instead of trying to be the hero all the time and taking low percentage shots you expect rookies to take. LOL. He needs to go out there with the mindset of getting a triple double. Although I think we could put a gun to his head and Kobe still wouldnt be able to do that against this defense.
