Piss poor shot selection, lack of ball movement, and timely turnovers to seal the deal for the other team in the 4th quarter doesnt make you the "game's best closer" and it damn sure dont make you the KING. It just makes you lucky to have teammates and a coach who can bail you out when your "Im gonna be the hero" mode doesnt intimidate a real NBA defense in a HUGE game. This series looks like its going the distance.

It's hard to figure out why, for all the great players the lakers have outclassed, baby davis and little Nate are kicking the poo out of us. For fugs sake Davis is doing better out there than Garnett. Nobody else gets the rebounds, FFS I hope bynum can play because bynum/gasol is a better rebounding tandem than gasol/odom and everytime bynum is on the bench the lakers fall into rebound hell. LA's bench is playing awful compared to boston's

I'm just tryna make Kobe a better player by holding him to the standard of a player that is greater than him right now. For the past 3 games Kobe hasnt done poo in the 4th quarter and has done his best to try and shoot LA out of games. How many times has Rondo ripped Kobe late in the game to seal it? So lets not make excuses. If you want this guy to be considered the best than he has to take the lumps the King, Melo, and Wade, etc take when they play low IQ b-ball to close out playoff games. Kobe is lacking "killer instinct" and heart out there right now. Where are those clutch game winners we saw all regular season? Oh thats right, this isnt the regular season anymore and this isnt some soft no defense playing overrated ass western conference team he's playing. Truth be told, if the "black hole" wasnt trying his hardest to be LeBron and just got the ball to your bigs late, this wouldnt be a series. But pride is a dangerous thing and I dont think he could handle Gasol being Finals MVP over him. LOL.

I suppose...and I'm not even going to start with excuses, but he's also been playing banged up for a hell of a long time too! I also give credit to the Celtics for shutting him down more effectively too! He certainly has had non Kobe type 4th quarters, can't argue that at all.

I'm starting to wonder if Glen Davis should be institutionalized. Seriously. After that great rebound and put back (+ foul) the camera showed him screaming and all before going to a TV timeout. Yeah, they were smart enough to cut the sound so they didn't catch him screaming "motherf***er!" but the camera definitely picked up what appeared to be a four inch long loogie exploding from his mouth and hanging on his lip. They must have a straight jacket for him in the locker room.

IMO, Kobe didn't lose this game. Not when he makes like 6 3s. What lost the game was missing Bynum. Odom got outright abused in the paint by Davis, we need Drew's big body under the basket to get those rebounds because that's where big baby is killing us. 2nd chance points are killing us, and offensively some guys just haven't shown up at all this series, namely Ron Artest. His offensive game is pitiful this series.
