yeah the cheapest hotels are around the airport which is about 20mins from the stadium. I've gotten friends and family rooms there, at good places to like the Hilton or doubletree for $50 a night on priceline, it makes much more sense to get a place near the airport and split a cab or take a bus to the stadium, then it does to stay downtown, the places there are much more expensive and not as big rooms etc... I guess it would be cool to stay downtown if your going to explore the downtown area a lot etc... even then you would still come ahead by staying near the airport (town is called Seatac) and taking multiple cabs if you want to go up there etc.. or even renting a car.

If you guys want to hit an attraction while your here, I would highly recommend checking out the EMP (Experience Music Project) tickets are less than $20 and also include admission to the sci fi museum, all of this is in an area called Seattle Center, its where the space needle is and where the Sonics used to play, everyone always talks about Pioneer square and Pike Place Market etc... but trust me the coolest place/thing this city has to offer is Seattle Center, its very unique and fun

Actually I have a pretty big house 10mins from the stadium and could probably put a few people up for a couple nights if someone needed a place to stay, I can also help get tickets for anyone thats coming from local craigslist ads etc... I would ask in exchange that when I come to a home game in Charlotte that someone would help me get some tix of craigslist etc...

as for opposing fans...expect to be treated according to how you act...bout the best way to explain it...come in and trash talk and get in people's faces and the Hawk fans will eat you up...Pacific Northwesterners or not....but act civil and show you are in town to have a good time, and they'll rock on right beside you!

Hey Hawk ,

Have you been to any of the Raider/hawks preseason game, that seem to be hosted by the hawks every preseason? I went to a couple and was surprised at how many fights and flat out riots etc... especially for a preseason game lol, never seen anything like it, not even at hawks playoff games etc...

But to the other posters, hawk is right and the above scenario is definetly not the norm.

I beg to differ on this one. The previous game I went too me and the wife are sitting there, upper deck me wearing a Smitty Jersey doing nothing but cheering for our shitty team that year and I had some sort of food thrown at my back. I wasn't drinking, talking smack or anything along that lines, I just ignored whoever did it, and it didn't happen again, but I was seriously going WTF? I went to Oakland 2 years ago, and they were great considering how their reputation is you're going to get killed if you wear opposing gear in their stadium. I don't know maybe it was just an bad day for this fan.

nope, I haven't been...I was at a reg season game though a few years back and it wasn't pretty. There's a long standing hatred between Seattle and the raiders though from their days in the AFC West...and also, let's face it, Oakland doesn't have the highest educated fans in the league either...certainly not the creme de la creme, am I wrong?!!!!

ya, unfortunately, poo like this happens in every stadium to a certain extent, but I think in Seattle it's certainly not the norm! We had food and obscenities thrown our way at BOA as well.

  • 1 month later...

if any of you still plan to go to Seattle for the Panthers game, I do have tickets available still as I found a different pair for Cosmo and 5158.

Shoot me a pm if you are looking for tickets and I'll be more than happy to help out.

I'm still working out the means of doing so, so I can't say for sure either way yet...
