Downgrade my internet speed from 3 Mbps to 385 kbps. I am steaming mad. They will be hearing from me tomorrow. I had been wondering why videos and such were loading so slowly.

What makes them think they can do this when I'm paying for 3 mbps? Anybody have a similar experience? :mad::mad:

After doing a little research, and doing a factory reset on my modem and reactivating my DSL settings, I'm back up to a respectable 2.5 mbps.

Don't know who ratcheted down my speed, but it wasn't me.

I've had Time Warner Cable out here several times fixing bad pairs coming into my house, and my internet speed still chugs dick. I'll be switching to DirectTV/ClearWire next month.

I don't really understand the way DSL modems work, but the modem's max throughput shouldn't have been set at 385 kbps no matter how you slice it.
