Seriously, Saint J usually is funny and makes the forum a whole lot more fun. But a Saint fan using the word luck in reference to 03 Panthers after that NFC Champ game just gets my blood boiling.

5 turnovers to you're 1 at home and they need an OT onslaught of officiating to get their kicker into position. Every one at NFL network pretty much didn't know how to word it in the post game comments on how the lesser team won.

Speaking of this thread's original topic, its not about how the team's would fare against one another today. That is stupid give the constant evolution of the athlete/rules/gameplans. It's about what you did in your time frame in the game of football.

With the Bear's you have arguably the most dominant single season D ever with an okay offense with possibly the best RB.

The Saint's you have an elite QB/offense, fairly shitty D that did what it had to do with a good story that the media adored, a spoon fed NFC championship game and a very well played Super Bowl.

In that context 85 Bears > 09 Saints unquestionably.

LMAO!! If anything, your team got lucky they won the Superbowl at all for being a overrated team that get many bandwagon fans. Please don't give us that luck crap about our Superbowl season, 'cause you need to a hard look at your.

And you claim we choke in the SB? Last I check losing by 3 points is not a choke, you dumb fug. If anything, your Taints choke for over 40 yrs. before they won the Superbowl. We will get our before the 40th anniversary of the franchise & it will mean we are better than you. Too bad! :D :D

Dude I would love to see you say that to his face, he'd probably karate kick your teeth out the back of your head, and your aints weren't lucky in the playoffs they were dirty...if it wasn't for all the late hits, cheap shots, and blown calls favre and company would've waxed your asses in the championship game....again that's not luck that's DIRTY...

I saw the '85 Bears. I studied the '85 Bears. The '85 Bears were were not a friend of mine. The '09 Saints are not as good as the '85 Bears were.

And anyone who thinks that they are is too young to understand the joke.

Anyone who thinks Brees would be slicing and dicing the Bears secondary forgets that Brees would have spent most of the first half on his back and most of the second half writhing in pain on the bench.
