i dont think we'll have too much 4wr on a running team, but i definately see some 3wr sets. edwards laffel and jarret will all see the feild this year.

but i think our TEs will be pretty good this year. we may still see some passing formations we havent seen in a long time

edit - well i just saw the TC update. i guess we will be using some 4wr. probably wont use it much on gameday tho

You left out Steve Smith... How on Earth can you leave out STEVE SMITH!!!

Clausen doesn't need to start in year 1.. take a step back folks and let's think this through..

we have a capable QB in Moore.. Let Moore play this season, let Clausen learn this season.. hell, give Clausen 2 years.. there is no need to rush the guy and increase the chances of him failing..

The NFL is much faster than college.. if we have an opportunity to keep the kid on the bench, why fug that up?

he'll be 10 times better for it in the long run.. I mean, I get it.. I'm excited to have a guy with his skill set and intangibles.. but outside of Madden, there's no need to start him yet..

It is good to see and hear that the Panthers are really balancing out the offense between the pass and run so that they can actually score more points and maybe win more games. Fox needs to learn how to utilize the Panthers' offensive talents to their fullest potential. But, I really believe this supposed change of Fox's attitude toward a more balanced, scoring offense has been mandated from upper management. In other words, I believe Richardson has turned the light on for him demanding more balance. Hopefully, Fox will stay out of the way and give the offense more opportunity to score with better play calling that isn't so predictable.

Over the past eight seasons, Fox has stubbornly resisted any positive change to the offense, including sticking with Delhomme for far too long, that was outside of his very limited realm of understanding. Keep offensive drives alive, chew up some game clock, give the defense a break and actually score points on offense without seeing one of his favorite, weak excuses of a play called the punt on a far too consistent basis will be a big accomplishment for Fox. I firmly believe the Panthers will show Fox the road if he cannot get a better grasp on higher-scoring offensive game planning, better game management and consistently be able to compete in this league.
