Panthers are 7 point 'Dogs vs. Giants

Section 505

LOL, does this suprise anyone?

It's the same reason we have to keep traveling up there to play them and the same reason NY got the SB: teachers pet.

We pounded them into oblivion the last time we met and they're favored by 7, makes perfect sense.:out:

Thats pretty generous considering to everyone in the world besides the people on this message board saw us cut numerous longtime starters, and lose our two leaders on defense. They also see us having a quarterback controversy and haven't heard of any of our wide-recievers other than Steve Smith who is a year older and coming off a broken arm. Yeah all and all I say that's not too bad. I personally wouldn't have that, but common I think the Panthers have a legitimate shot at winning every single game they play. See Vikings game last year.

ummmmm didnt pretty much the same group of guys (minus moose and hoover) put up 40+ points against them last year? betting that spread immediatly before it drops

We have a brand new DL and one that doesn't feature a Peppers caliber player.....so I wouldn't say this is the same group.

Yea we have no known recievers behind Smitty, but hell we can beat the Giants with one of smittys arms broke and dwill out last year what makes anyone think we can't do it again. If jake was still our QB I could see us as the underdogs but he's not...

there is no way we shouldn't be underdogs week 1 on the road in NY.

yes thats why i only mentioned the offense and stated how we put up 40 points against them. Im not saying we should be favored. just thinking a 7 point spread seems extremely high for this game of two pretty much .500 teams

yeah, but on paper our defense took a pretty big step backwards. DL is too important for a Fox team. Homefield is what 3 pts? I could see the defense being enough to bump that to 7.

last year, the panthers were favored by 8 i think over the eagles in week 1. what a joke that was. i wish i was in vegas, i would have bet the farm. the eagles won 38 to 10.

i think this line is fairly close. our defense, like last year, won't come together until mid season. giants should win by 6-10 points. if they are saying 7 then i'd predict 28-21.
