My Feelings On The NY/NJ Superbowl

NFL owners are gathered today to vote on the location of the 2014 Super Bowl, and the buzz is that it will go to the new stadium shared by the Jets and Giants. The proposal has its share of detractors in the media, from doughy KSK punching bag Peter King to self-important rumor monger Mike Florio. Their primary argument against a cold-weather Super Bowl: “Hurrrr, it’s gonna be cold” (exact quote). To which I counter:

F**K YOU, TW*TF***S.

What, is your vagina gonna freeze? How is playing a Super Bowl in cold weather a bad thing? Wild card games, divisional playoffs, and conference championships are held in frigid-ass places like Green Bay and New England, and you know what? Those games are the fuging T**S. I like football games in the snow, where you can see the big puffs of breath on the down linemen before the snap. It’s fuging awesome, because it reminds you that football is HARDCORE.

You know who bitches about their playoffs being too cold? Baseball fans. fug them, and fug anyone who wants to make football more like baseball.

The Super Bowl location has nothing to do with whether or not the NFL gives a rats ass about the comfort of the fans.It's about the comfort of the corporate sponsors, and this one is gonna lose a ton of money.

This one won't lose any money, are you kidding me? It will be just like any other Super Bowl, the culmination of the NFL season resulting in the Lombardi Trophy. The good weather clause in the selection process is BS. Most regular fans can't even get tickets to the Super Bowl, so why should regular fans be concerned with giving ticket holders a tropical winter vacation? It's football....

I know that the lack of hotel space in Charlotte (for both fans and reporters) is one of the concerns for not brigning the SB to Charlotte so as a productive citizen of the Charlotte Metro community I would like to officially offer my home up to ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews.

If it somehow comes down to a Giants-Jets Super Bowl, it might have a chance. But the average fan doesn't have 2,000-7,000 bucks to spend on a ticket. And corporate sponsors aren't going to spend money to sit in the snow. They could care less about the game itself, it's all just a party for them.
