goodson is all potential. sutton has shown a lot of his worth and deserves a shot on the roster.

more than likely both will make the 53 man roster but only one will be active on game day.

unless goodson shows more in TC and preseason the safe bet will be sutton is active on game days.

P55, stop trying to inject common sense into the discussion. All that does is make their heads explode.

P55 I thought you were only the voice of reason during the season? OTA for common sense aren't till next month. Don't burn yourself out.

Didn't mean to get ahead of myself.:cheers2:

I would take Sutton over Goodson . He played well when given the chance and looked like he could start for another team that doesnt have a premier back. We've got two! Goodson also showed his speed and made some plays before his injury but, today, I would keep Sutton if forced to choose.

It's all about productivity...Sutton played well last year..Goodson was in the doghouse with fumbleitis...

I'm very eager to see Goodson with a year under his belt during camp/preseason...

Seems the majority is wanting more of a decent backup in sutton, rather than another play maker in goodson. And the real issue with that is most of you view goodson as only a rb. Goodson is a great pass catcher, whether its out of the backfield or lined up at receiver.

Sutton is solid pure rb option.

Goodson needs to prove he will put in the work to be the type of player he has the talent to be.

:iagree: Sutton at this point is the better RB. Goodson has a hell of a lot more talent though.

Sutton. Goodson has potential and could be a great running back but with 2 top of the line running backs in front of him he will never get enough playing time to prove himself. Sutton looked like a beast last year and plays with heart. He is a better all around player than Goodson. I feel like we wasted our draft pick on Goodson, we could of drafted someone else. Austin Collie,Julian Edelman,Johnny Knox, and Louis Murphy could of helped us at wide reciever a much needed position now and then. There were also a few decent safeties and linebackers that went later on in the draft that could of helped our depth problem this year.

At this moment choosing either Sutton or Goodson is like shooting in the dark, neither one has played enough to determine which player is truely better, but there's no doubt Sutton played better than Goodson last season for the little they both actually played. Sutton played in 7 games while Goodson played in 8 games. Sutton rushed 12 times for 68 yards for a 5.7 average, while Goodson rushed 22 times for 49 yards for a 2.2 average. Sutton had 6 catches for 62 yards averaging 10.3 yards a catch, his YAC (yards after the catch) was 10.3, 4 of his 6 catches went for 1st downs. Goodson had 2 catches for 15 yards for an average of 7.5, his YAC was 12.0, 1 of his 2 catches went for a 1st down. Goodson also fumbled and lost the ball while Sutton didn't. Sutton also did a good job run blocking when the Panthers needed him.

I really wouldn't want to make a decision on these two considering how little they both played, but if I had to I'd reward the player who played better which is Sutton.
