I has an intern?

So we just got our new crop of interns today, and my Department got one. My boss has already told me that he doesn't want to bother with the intern, and that he is my responsibility.

That's right, 22-years-old, and I have my own summer intern.

So now the question is, what do I have him do? He's not 21 yet, so he can't by me liquor. So I'm racking my brain for ideas of how to use him. Thoughts?

Get him to do your math for you.

Have him monitor the Huddle throughout the day and prior to close of business, he must assemble a daily "Best of the Lovely Ladies" newsletter which will be emailed to all Huddle members.

I would also like to know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop, but that's probably a task you should save for when you have a female intern.

Depends on what your office does. When I interned I mostly just did the crap jobs no one wants to do or are too time consuming: filing (physical and emails/data), phones, sending out correspondence, other random stuff.

Just remember than your intern will be spending 70-90% of his or her time on facebook.

I said I am 22, and my intern is not yet 21, which means he cannot buy me liquor. That's all.

And actually, having the male intern works out because it's against company policy to have relations with a subordinate in the same department. So the cute intern in Accounting is fair game.
