Favorite old school arcade games

These are where all my quarters got spent when I was a kid and arcades were in every mall. Come to think of it I haven't seen an arcade in a mall in a very long time. But I digress, here are the pics of the games. What are yours?

Its amazing how many of those games are on Xbox Live Arcade.

I loved the time crisis series but at my age arcades wern't very popular.

Any game involving a cockpit/driving setup that also involved shooting at other people playing the game.

Time Crisis and the like are also fun.

But my all time favorite:

Battletech: Firestorm in a Tesla II.

Japan also has some kind of Gundam simulator pods, those could be fun as well but I have no experience with them nor have I read anything about them other than to know they exist.

This isn't a simulator or a classic, but I got to play this game when I visited Japan, a Japanese guy was nice enough to explain to us how to play it. It's a cross between a collectible card game and a strategy game basically. You buy a starter deck to start out with, you can also buy booster packs etc and after every game you play, you get another card.

Consoles eventually killed the arcades here. In Japan however they are a popular social outlet, I wonder what the main cause in this difference could be.
