Helping those in need...

With graduation just around the corner, many are eagerly waiting to walk across that stage. There are others who are just as eager, but who lack the means to purchase their own graduation caps and gowns. There are some soon to graduate seniors at my wife's school who will not be able to walk across the stage because they were unable to buy caps and gowns because they live in extreme poverty, and there isn't enough money in the school budget to buy for them.

Are any of you in the Charlotte area willing to loan your BLACK caps and gowns for some of these young people? We need four more to ensure all these seniors are allowed to walk across the graduation stage. These young men are 5'8", 5'9",5'10", and 6'3" (also needs a big cap for his large head). If you can, please send me a PM.

We would really appreciate your generosity to ensure that these guys can walk with their peers. For some of them, they will be the first members of their family to do so.

Thank you for reading, and hopefully digging out your BLACK caps and gowns!

It is crazy that these students cannot walk across the stage. They earned that right. Depriving them of this because of financial circumstances that are not their fault is just wrong.

Very nice of you to try to help these guys out. Hope you get enough gowns.

cpcc didn't give me one when I got my high school diploma. In fact, they mailed my diploma to me. I have no idea what happened to my NCSU one (red of course). All I have is the tassle.

Good luck, that is a great thing you are doing.

    • I'm not saying Chubba want to resign here. To be honest I don't know why anyone would ever come to Carolina unless it was for a boat load of money and that person had no interest in winning. As for keeping Hubbard, I don't see a problems with it if the deal is reasonable pricewise. We have a 2nd round back coming off an ACL tear. We have no ide how he is going to play upon his return. These days you pretty much have to have 2 backs to ease the RB workload. The days of the 25-30 carry per game are long gone. Brooks contract is pretty cheap. If Hubbard came back around 4-5 million for 3 seasons that wouldn't break us.  And, if you did trade him at the deadline, what are you expecting in return? Most likely a 4th. Is that really going yo move the needle? Nope.  If a player want to be moved this season and you can get a good return, that's one thing. But the idea of trading "all expiring contracts today" is unreasonable. We don't have anyone on this roster who is going to fetch more than a 3rd/4th round pick. I don't see a player on our roster who is going to put another team over the hump. Furthermore, it's not like we have a FO with a good track record nailing their draft picks. If they did we wouldn't be in the current predicament.
    • Garbage for Garbage seems fair to me just not sure what fields contract status is.
    • It's all about his value. It only goes down if they play him. If he was the answer they would be playing him. That's it. Dalton is 37 in a week and headed towards retirement. If you remember him in NO then none of this is a surprise even with the fun Raiders game. Young isn't playable, they are trying some reps but it still looks really bad. He is already gone and a trade is better than a cut but he won't make it to the 53 next year. They will take a swing at a QB and they need a vet so they have options and CYA. We are picking 1 or 2. There is zero space in that equation for Young. I wasn't trying to come off as belittling or talking down to you. If I did I apologize but it's all the truth. If they aren't playing him after that last game it's obvious that is not the path. DC saying it's all about Dalton just confirms it.
