Helping those in need...

With graduation just around the corner, many are eagerly waiting to walk across that stage. There are others who are just as eager, but who lack the means to purchase their own graduation caps and gowns. There are some soon to graduate seniors at my wife's school who will not be able to walk across the stage because they were unable to buy caps and gowns because they live in extreme poverty, and there isn't enough money in the school budget to buy for them.

Are any of you in the Charlotte area willing to loan your BLACK caps and gowns for some of these young people? We need four more to ensure all these seniors are allowed to walk across the graduation stage. These young men are 5'8", 5'9",5'10", and 6'3" (also needs a big cap for his large head). If you can, please send me a PM.

We would really appreciate your generosity to ensure that these guys can walk with their peers. For some of them, they will be the first members of their family to do so.

Thank you for reading, and hopefully digging out your BLACK caps and gowns!

It is crazy that these students cannot walk across the stage. They earned that right. Depriving them of this because of financial circumstances that are not their fault is just wrong.

Very nice of you to try to help these guys out. Hope you get enough gowns.

cpcc didn't give me one when I got my high school diploma. In fact, they mailed my diploma to me. I have no idea what happened to my NCSU one (red of course). All I have is the tassle.

Good luck, that is a great thing you are doing.
