You gotta trust your evaluation. I could def see T-Mac being the highest rated WR in the draft, and available at 8. If you think he's Mike Evans, you have to take him. If you think he's just an above average NFL player, I think you have to go defense. That said, if he's there at 8, I could see somebody knocking on our door trying to get him. I don't want to trade out of 8, but I do see a scenario where it could be our best option if all the defensive players we value that highly are gone.

This is why the scouts make the big bucks.

If Carter and Graham are gone and you don't think T-Mac is a top shelf #1 then I hope we listen hard if the phone is ringing.

None of the ESPN guys have him o it side the top 10 anymore

CBS sports had him in the Teens, now Mike Renner over there updating it here the last week or 2 moving him to 5th overall.

33rd team has him top 10 now, and does Draftnetwork

Dane Brugler just put him at 3.  Daniel Jeremiah put him at 6

these are all ones that have been updates since conference championship weekend

I just don't see it yet. His production and undefined position scare me. Now he gets out here runs a freak 40 I might heat up to him. But spending the 8th pick on this... Is scary.

Physically dominant recievers don't always pan out in the NFL because they aren't going up against scrubs.  I don't think he is worth the risk at 8

Spoken like someone who A. doesn't know enough about T-Mac's game and B. someone who is afraid of our own past of taking the big physical projects in the late 1st or 2nd round and them not panning out, as T-Mac isn't a late 1st raw project type of prospect.

But it's okay, either people are going to be thrilled in a few years when he's earning All Pro's here in Carolina, or you're all going to realize how right I was on him when he's doing it for someone else.

I think you need to prepare yourself for when he doesn't get selected to Carolina.
