I mean, we have just been drafting terribly for years no matter what we do. But as long as you're in the job you gotta do what you see as the best path forward.

Evan’s looked far more fluid than Tmac, coming out. To me Tmac has a lumbering gate. He has an insane catch radius. But to me looks much slower than 4.53.

IMO, Mike Evans is the comp.

Stats never tell a full story but my point is that Evans and T-Mac were DOMINANT college WRs. London was a good college WR that got over drafted in an overall way over-hyped WR draft class.

It’s their play style. Near mirror one another, super similar. The way they run, how they fight DBs. Similar to Michael Pittman as well, but not as muscle bound. Honestly, surprised USC didn’t recruit him at all.

It is mid February---so happy Valentine's Day Verge--now, to the issue:  As of right now, with Daniel Jeremiah claiming that there are 24 starting DTs in this draft--you look to trade back--my theory is a team looking for an offensive tackle might want to move up; a good team might want Jeanty and be willing to move up as well.  If not, I think the choice is going to come down to TMac (WR) or Will Johnson (CB).  Mykel Williams (Edge) or Jalon Walker (LB/Edge) might get some love if Evero sees a way he can use their versatility. Some think TE Tyler Warren too, but I just watched some highlights--He's no Brock Bowers who went 12th last year.

That's when trades happen. It's all situational.

Ask yourself this question, based on our trade history on draft day and our history of day 2 picks, do you really trust this front office to make a deal to move up and grab the right player? If the Panthers decide to move up to grab a guy the first thing in my mind is "this guy is going to be a jag"

If a team feels like there isn't a big talent drop off moving down to the end of round 2, then may be we should use similar logic.

I'm of the opinion we can find a defensive starter in rounds 1, 2, and 3 if we just stay put, and also find a prospect in round 4 to play center.

I'd could understand moving down from 8 to the mid teens to pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd, but outside of that I'd be afraid to make a big deal on draft day to move up.

I wouldn't hate the pick, especially as the players mentioned above are gone.

Also wouldn't mind trading the pick for G. Wilson if the Jets want to entertain.  I'd do that for a proven commodity.   But if the Jets are moving from Rodgers/Adams which rumors are saying they are, they probably want to keep him to build around.

I mean would it be better to draft TMac and use the money we would spend on someone like Higgins on an edge rusher FA or something like that?

      he always was self-centered.  Great athlete, but he was about some Cam.  Maybe that was his way of being great--but think how he must have been treated his entire life--so he was a product of us. He is also very kind to his fans--saw him signing autographs for people after OTAs--he missed my son, holding a Cam jersey, and saw it when he looked back--he froze and looked sad, then smiled and ran back to him and signed it.  I saw him "showing off" at practice when nobody was in the stands--high energy, fun, contagious. Finally, I would say his teammates may not feel about the organization like Cam does.  I think the Panthers should have protected him better, offensive line, had him run less, slide more, and never let him run that QB draw.  But RR was worried about his job, and Cam is a gamer--Cam took a beating like no other QB before him--and he did it for the team.  So his bitterness may be misguided here.  Rivera and Hurney need to take some responsibility for the shortening of Cam's career and the feeling that he might have had the team on his back.  The OL was usually bad and there were not the best weapons after 89.  I understand it--he is not handling it well, but I see his source of irritation.
