Life Changing Career Choice...Airline Pilot

If you love flying being a military pilot or comercial pilot will really test that love. My brother was passionate about flying, he got his license at 18, scored high on all these tests so recruiters were always at the door, set some record on this new simulator as well. But he ended up dropping out of pilot school because all of the constant safety checks and calculations sucked the fun out of it for him. Now he's in intelligence and much happier.

I've also never heard of a single guy becoming an airline pilot without doing military unless he was the son of a pilot.

If you are in a position to try something new I say go for it. You are a lucky man. Don't make a snap decision or anything. I would say wait a month and see if you feel the same way. then go for it

Salt do this first. Go take a inductory flight at a small airport near you (not Charlotte Douglas). Go to the flight school and ask for a inductory flight. Will cost somewhere around $50 but they will let you fly a small aircraft and you can see if you like it before dropping big bucks.
