Speaking of Quinnen Williams ... Nolen earned that comp this season from Ole Miss defensive coordinator Pete Golding, who coached the three-time Pro Bowler at Alabama. Nolen's explosiveness off the ball and ability to chase down plays make him a potential top-10 selection like Williams, and pairing him with Derrick Brown means trouble for opposing offensive lines.

We don’t need a 3-tech at DT. D. Brown is our penetrator. His second season we tried to make him eat blocks and it just wasted his talent. On DL we need guys that can eat blocks and shed. Nolan is a classic penetrating 3-tech which will make him redundant and wasted pick in the first round.

Actually like it.

Following the Philly model

Nolen might be too early but if he hits and Burch hits in the 3rd that would change the DL overnight. Still some risk at 8.

I don’t like the C pick. Awful reach at 57. This C class isn’t close to last year. Last year was the year to draft the C. If you use one or more of the day 3 picks on OL, that’s fine. Add in another edge or CB in round 2, I’d like the draft.

I wouldn’t completely say that.

It’s not good as last year.

But Wilson, had just as good a season this year as any Center coming out of last years draft.  And athletically,  will be similar if not more athletic than the Duke kid that went rd 1 last year.

Thing going against him.  He only has 1 year experience.  First year playing and starting at Georgia.  And he isn’t versatile, most scouts believe he only a Center at the next level, unsure he can play Guard at the next level.  Thats part of the reason the West Virginia kid dropped last year.  And why the Duke kid surged Duke to him being able to play multiple positions.

Wilson, I’d take no questions rd 3, towards the end of the 2nd.  I wouldn’t be mad.  Probably rather get someone else and hope he falls to rd 3.

People said the same thing about the Eagles when they took Jurgens rd 2 after taking Dickerson rd 2 the year before

    • Cutting edge analysis below https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-50-2025-nfl-draft-prospect-rankings-4-0 You gotta remember, Daniel Jeremiah talks to the scouts and GMs..... Notable highlights: #1 Abdul Carter (Edge) #2 Travis Hunter (WR/CB) #3 Ashton Jeanty (RB) #4 Mason Graham (DT) #5:  Jalon Walker (LB) #6 Tyler Warren (TE) #7  Coltson Loveland (TE) #15 Nick Emannwori (S) #22 Mykel Williams (Edge) #32 Mason Taylor (TE--3 TEs in round 1????) WR rankings (oh my!!  This is going to piss some folks off--I don't think a slot WR--Egbuka--should be in the middle of round 1, personally) #16 Matthew Golden (told ya this a month ago!!--you mocked me, some scoffed) #17  Emeka Egbuka (the sleeper we have not talked about enough!) #18  Tetairoa McMillan (according to the NFL Network Path to the Draft Crew-Ross, Brooks, Charles-the comments may have hurt his stock among GMs--I do think it might be a bit overblown, but hey, he raised the red flag--nobody else.  I am sure he will explain his meaning to satisfy GMs) #33 Luther Burden III (he has dropped quite a bit) Noteable Edges NOT in top 50, which means they could be there in the second:  Jack Sawyer, Princely. and my super sleeper pick who could be there in round 3--Josaiah Stewart, Michigan. MHS PREDICTIONS: It sure looks like #5 Jalon Walker Edge will be the pick---Mykel Williams dropped to #22. Most of the players we draft on days 1 and 2 will have a first name that starts with the letter J.
    • I feel like all the guys i think they're going to take will be gone. Graham and walker plus Carter who has no chance. If that's the case I really hope someone wants to jump the saints and we can trade back. I would want Green if he didn't have the accusations
    • I think with walker you have a pretty stable and decent floor.   With some of the others the floor is lower but yeah the ceiling is the roof.   We just cant risk that as a franchise at this point
