Ouch the family drama part stings a little. Outside of a few players, cam is right, this team was trash and not relevant. Didn’t Smith trash the poo out of the team when he got cut? Didn’t pep do the same when he left for Chicago?

It really wasn’t trash.   It just had a trash QB….and trash QB play is crazy impactful

Roster was full of pro bowlers and Panthers greats in reality.  Gross, Wharton, Kalil, Double Trouble, 89, Big Money, Gamble, etc.   Basically the future Ring of Honor.    Then they added some solid guys for his first year in

I agree with Smitty, that’s a shot at his former teammates during his rookie year. That team had Smith, Greg Olsen, Deangelo Williams, Jordan Gross, Ryan Kalil, Charles Johnson, Chris Gamble etc. Having Jimmy C sure didn’t help, and Can has taken a few shots against the team recently. Even CMC isn’t friends with Cam anymore. With all that being said, I still and will always love Cam Newton for the magic he brought our team, but some of his comments now being in the public eye make you shake your head.

Cam's been very self serving in his comments lately. The roster he came into has more talent than many of today's bottom feeders - including us. Pickles was kind enough to deliver us the #1 pick because virtually any other QB would have kept us out of that slot.

The defense was very weak his first year but he came into a pretty good offensive situation tbh.  It just got worse the longer he was here unfortunately.

    • If we know that this dude is going to be Mike Evans 2.0 then sure take him at 8.  If he is anything less than that we need Defensive guys that can stop the run, we arent doing poo until we can stop teams from running all over us.
    • What can of deal can you come up with that would convince a team to help us move higher in the draft?  I'd hate to lose our 3rd round pick in the process. There's no way I'm parting with a top 10 pick in the 3rd round with all of our defensive needs. Do you swap 2nds and throw in a 4th and/or 5th? And once again...if most of us value the higher choices, why do we think a team wants to give away high picks to move down to accumulate later round picks?
    • Not if we are trading way back in the first, if we are just dropping back a couple spots then sure.  Im not dropping down to 20+ for a 2nd and some throwaway picks. If its a playoff team they def have to throw in next years first.
