Cam would not say that with TD in the room.

I think Cam is a good soul whi gets a little carried away especially as he's become one who needs to constantly publish takes on everything with his podcast or whatever it's called.

Yikes 😬

Yes, Newton was a great teammate, or at least he became one. There were definitely some stories from his rookie season that were somewhat less than complimentary. And based on what Charles Johnson says, it sounds like there are more yet to be told.

On the mic though, Newton was always that friend who made you cringe when he started talking. Lots of us have had friends and acquaintances that we knew meant well but for whom we often had to apologize and/or clarify what they meant. Unfortunately, that's Cam.

When he started making his journey toward becoming a talking head, It would be one that had its fair share of bumps in the road. Looks like we've hit one 😕

And yes, Smith can certainly be one to shoot his mouth off as well, but it doesn't exactly sound like he's alone in his viewpoint here.

I think Cam needs to walk some of that back. But I have no doubt that he wasn't talking about the core guys on that team. That 2010 team had a lot of the pieces that went 12-4 form 2008. That 08 squad was one of the most complete rosters we've ever fielded outside of Jake Delhomme, he was the weak link.

Cam can feel disrespected by the organization but he's shitting on a bunch of incredible players with these comments. It just feels like it's for attention...

Yep. Cam is going to morph more and more into the Stephen A model now that he's on ESPN.

He's honestly ESPN's wet dream. Charismatic...and a history of not thinking before he speaks at times.

    • Reason for encouragement Remember folks, we lost to the Chiefs by 3 and the Eagles by 6 in Philly.   In the Chiefs game, Pinero kicked 4 FGs--the longest was 33 yards--we were knocking, but couldn't get in.  In the Eagles game, Bryce threw for 100 yards more than the Super Bowl MVP and the Panthers were leading in the fourth quarter--Bryce was sacked 1 time-Jewell had more sacks than the Eagles.  Both games were after Nov 24.
    • I mean, we have just been drafting terribly for years no matter what we do. But as long as you're in the job you gotta do what you see as the best path forward.
    • Middle of the 1st really doesn't sound too much different than 8 talent wise from the rumblings if one of the top guys doesn't fall. Some team needing a CB or WR might make that trade, picks I am hoping we avoid. Getting a 2nd would be a big bonus. Not sure when the teir 2 guys drop off in this draft but it sounds like it runs through most of the 2nd. Anything 20 or before could net a sweet haul without moving too far back. In a more top loaded draft I wouldn't be for it but this one sounds lite on teir 1 guys and heavey on teir 2 guys.
