watching panther games next season

Now that the super bowl is over, I've never been happier to cancel my YouTubeTV subscription.  You see, I adopted "live tv" streaming back with Playstation View when it was only $40/month.  It was everything I wanted when cutting the cord.  Got all my local channels (which is what I cared about at the time) + some sweeteners + cloud DVR.  Then it went away and enter YouTubeTV as the next option.  It started great at around ~$60/month (+/-).  Then $65, then $70, now my bill is $85+ and of course it will keep going up.  The only thing that is watched on our TV (that isn't netflix/prime or a service) is NFL football.

I tried a powered HD antenna.  I located all the antennas using a web site (I'm in Rock Hill, so they're all north of course).  I put the antenna on a window facing North.  But the stations were just outside of a reliable range.  I can pick the channels up, but they digitally stutter and go in and out.  I'd imagine if I was 5-7 miles more north, I'd be golden.

With that context, what's the most cost-effective way to watch the panthers games and post-season next year?  I am fine watching via Ipad and earbuds.  I'm also fine using one of our stand alone Rokus and watching on our tv.  My very quick research led me to the NFL+ app as a good option.

Also curious about this! I was paying Youtube TVs like $75 a month or whatever it is, really only to watch Panthers games, didn't really watch TV otherwise.

i'm northwest of winston salem and i don't have any problem watching them on antenna. i had paramount tv so i could watch the CBS games on that, but fox came through with no problems. CBS was good enough on antenna.

The same way I watch pretty much all sports. "Cheap, high quality" streaming. LOL

Cost effective? Sail the seven seas. 

Ethical? For the last two years I've gone the Sunday Ticket route on Youtube TV as an out of town fan and split the costs with my Dad.

I pay for YouTube TV so I can watch 30 year old sitcoms with commercials in the offseason.  Seriously though, there is nothing on TV besides sports.  It's just Golden Girls, The King of Queens, and Diners Drive ins and Dives.

I live in the Mooresville area. I have a small version of the old style metal antennae in the attic. The window mounted things are not great from where I'm at. I live in a grove of trees but with the antennae in the attic I get all the local channels to supplement the streaming services we have.

I would get a large powered outdoor antenna and run coax into the house. I’m pretty happy with mine, I get local weather and sports when I need it.

I've thought about exploring that.  My lot has a similar issue.  I'm in the lowest part of the caul-de-sac surrounded by trees on my north..which also means all my neighbors runoff travels through my yard.  Ugh, but that's another post in off topic.

Thankfully I have a walkable crawl space and have run ethernet under there to ports in the house.  I could likely just follow that path.  Good thought, thanks.

glitches and some times they cut it out, but works in a pinch for android devices 

Watched some Yankees games too last season.
