Imagine this, if you will...

Mr. Scot

If Jake plays well for the Browns the real issue is not that we gave up on him but rather would he done that if he stayed here. If the change of team and venue is the thing that ignites his career, then that is something that happened because he went to another team. If he had stayed here he could have continued to struggle as he did last year. Just like Warner needed to go to Arizona to get back his mojo, Jake may have to go elsewhere as well.

Once you trade or let a player go it makes no sense to go back and play the what if or blame game. It is no longer "look how they did when they went here or there" it is an understanding that they weren't doing the job here and now so a move was necessary.

As for Jake, I was also in the camp that didn't agree with the move to release him when we had to pay him anyway. But the FO felt it was a chemistry move that was needed so that was their money to waste and their call to make.

Rather than be mad I will be happy for him since he was such a big part of our success here. And when his playing days are over hopefully he can choose to sign a one day contract to retire a Panther if he so desires.

BTW, I liked the Twlight Zone reference- Rod I mean Mr Scot.

It's Delhomme/Davidson vs. Delhomme/Daboll. Davidson coached tight ends and the offensive line in Cleveland before becoming their OC. Daboll was the Jets QB coach. If Delhomme starts struggling, I would expect a different approach from vacillating between having him throw 40 times and having him throw 10.

Jake was an average QB who on occasion could play great, now after his surgery he is below average. His confidence seems to be gone and I don’t see how playing in the division he does now will help that in the near future. He still is a great leader and competitor but I don’t see any way for him to succeed in the league any more.

It's never, ever, ever going to happen. Warner was a good QB who suffered from a bad injury to his hand.

Delhomme was a mediocre QB who suffered a bad injury to his elbow. He's done.

Agreed

When Warner got to Arizona he had WR's

The Browns have ???

Jake will have 1-2 fair seasons ,but the Browns as a team have alot of work ahead of them and Jake ain't getting any younger
