no way our WRs are better. we have 1 proven commodity. but there is no chance that CB is a tie

We have one WR. At this point that is it....we have unproven talent on the bench. Roddy ain't as good as Smitty but there #2 option is more proven than anything we got. Plus, Tony G is really a WR.

RB = Not even Close Panthers = all day and twice on sunday.

depending on how you look at it, this is quite debatable.

looking at the 4 games these teams have played each other over the past 2 seasons...

atlanta = 122 attempts for 579 yards @ 4.7 ypc and 7 tds

carolina = 118 attempts for 570 yards @ 4.8 ypc and 6 tds

and looking at the stats for the 2 starters...

turner = 79 attempts for 389 yards @ 4.9 ypc and 5 tds

williams = 69 attempts for 326 yards @ 4.0 ypc and 2 tds

In regards to overall talent at the position, how in the world is it debatable? We have a two-headed (perhaps even three-headed with Sutton this year) attack that broke the rushing tandem record last year. Their running game isn't as good as ours on paper or on the gridiron, plain and simple.

So do those comparisons actually rate the running backs or do they rate the run defense over the last 4 head to head matchups?

I would give WR to the falcons smitty can't cover up the horrilbe depth.

I would call CB a tie too.

Agree on the WR at this point. Smitty is better than White...although White is a great WR as well. They have much more depth than we do. If Edwards and LaFell do anything, we will end up with the better corp.

1st Moose had 58 rec for 581yards and 1td

their 2nd wr Jenkins had 50rec for 635yds and 1td

This is last year and Moose is 10years older then Jenkins so how horrible is their depth at WR. Smith alone wins this position.

Moose isn't on the team anymore I don't see how he is relevant in using a comparison.

They have proven WR's who can at least get some level of production. We have Smitty, Jarrett, Wallace Wright, Moore, Martin, and a bunch of unproven rookies. Smitty isn't enough to give us the edge. At most it's a tie.

Actually using last year's production with Moose is as relavent as comparing last year's numbers and extrapolating them to this year. For example their second receiver might be Douglas who was on IR all last year. Just like our second receiver is likely to be someone who wasn't on the team last year. At this point is all speculation anyway so how can you give anyone the edge yet??

Gamble, Marshall, and Munnerlyn are easily the best trio in the NFC South. Saftey is a question mark, corner is not

LMAO Jabari Greer, Tracy Porter, and that statue of Sam Mills are better set of corners that those cats...

Somebody had posted about their depth being better them our and I was just pointing out that Jenkins is no better then our 2nd wr. So they really have no depth either and if it comes down too who # 1 demands more respect then smith wins hands down.
