Not sure the difference is that great.  KC has a little more experience, but its not like Philly experience is non existent.

Fwiw, I think that both teams have great defenses.  KC has a better qb, but Philly has more offensive talent all around.  Could come down to special teams.

The SB bowl experience difference is massive. Just look at the rosters and who has been and who hasn't.

I don't think this can be dismissed for how big of an impact it could make, in 2 particular areas.

The start of the game and halftime

KC isn't going to have any nerves at the start of this game, too many players who have been on the last 2 SB teams, while a lot of Eagles very well could have some jitters at the start, it's pretty normal for the SB.

Then the super long halftime can never be understated at how different it is for the players.  Was watching something with Belichick last night that said once when they got back to the SB after a bunch of years of not going, they specifically practiced halftime that week, taking the 30+ minute break in the middle of practices so their guys could get used to the extended break.

In a close game, those two things very well could give the Chiefs just enough of an edge to make a difference.

Not saying there is no difference, but the majority of the eagles key players have been in the playoffs and the Superbowl.  Hurts, Smith, Brown, Johnson, 3 out of 5 starting oline, etc... have all been there before.  Barkley hasn't, but not sure it will matter with him.

I mean its not like they are playing us.

I really think that is a massively underrated aspect. KC is very, very comfortable in this situation.

The Eagles have had a ton of roster turnover since their SB 2 years ago

And there is a massive difference between other playoff games and the Super Bowl, just everything about it.

They spend the week in town for practice, plus all the media around it.  The extended intros, extended halftime, the pressure of the moment, all of it is just different and when half of one team has done it the last 3 years, it gives them a significant advantage that not enough people take into account.

Yeah, I really don't think people think about this. This is a massive advantage.

I hate that I'm having to root for the Eagles as I find their fans incredibly toxic but I'm just so tired of the blatant favoritism the NFL gives KC and Mahomes that I'd rather see the Eagles stick their finger in the eye of NFL and pull out a win.

Pretty much yeah. After this though if the Eagles win they can kick rocks. Hopefully we'll get some different teams in there over the next few years.

    • Rather have Warren or an OT if we go offense.
    • I love Warren as well Warren would be my next guy because we've lacked that elite playmaking tight end for a long time and Warren is more or less a gronk clone so to speak. I don't think Ian will be back nor do I think Tremble will be back. There is room for another tight end to play alongside Sanders and while Sanders is solid I think we would benefit from an elite talent and playmaker at the position.
    • I have no problems with the Panthers adding to their defense, period.  It was historically bad.  They couldn't stop a wet fart... That being said, Will Johnson has some injury concerns (which are always overblown in the lead up to the draft).  Medicals at the combine are going to be important for all prospects with any hint of an injury. A pass rush's best friend is great backend coverage.  Coverage's best friend is a good pass rush.  They can absolutely work together to change the tone and performance of a defense.  If Morgan thinks Will Johnson is  the dawg we need to rebuild our defense, great! For signing Horn, yes.  I'm all about it.  He's had some bad injury luck, no denying that there.  We've also had the worst run of injuries it seems over the past several years, which is why its important we're bringing in new staff to help there.  IF we can get another 15-17 games from Horn with Johnson, it could really be great! I love draft season 😃  Hopefully this one helps us steer towards the post season so we can delay our draft talk!
