Drug Testing

Dude...I walked into work today and guess what they're doing swab testing to all employees... I'm kinda nervous because I smoked last night and dunno if I'll pass.. I've done some crazy stuff today like putting hand sanatizer on my finger and rubbing it into my gums, I went to the bathroom and washed my mouth out with liquid soap.... Plus I did my normal morning routine with brushing my teeth and using listetine. Anyone else have any other ideas??? It's comming at 5 so I don't have too much time till I take if so the mouthwash sportstAlk posted won't work for me...

But at least it's a swab test and I'm more likley to pass it over a piss test..

My question is should I just quit right now and avoid it or should I take a chance and hope I pass it... The only reason why I would quit would be so it wouldn't come up as I failed a drug test when I go to apply for another job.. Help asap would be great.

When I was looking into this for my issue(after I had taken my test...) I found out that apparently THC is alcohol-soluble so if you have brushed your teeth and used listerine like you said you may be ok. I would still mabye look into submitting your resume to a few places incase things turn out for the worse.

Got a phone call around 9:45 this morning for a random got to the testing place at 11ish. I smoked last night and have no worries.

Ohhh man I forgot to give you guys an update ..

Sooo I was kinda stressed the day of my test but it worked out ... They were only doing 5 test and all the employees had to pic a number ... Lucky for me my number wasn't called. It was a huge relief that I didn't get my number called lol.

And now that I think about it using hand santizer was a dumb idea, if I ended up getting tested the alcohol in the gel would have Picked up and I might have gotten fired for being drunk lol..

The place I got hired about a month ago randomly drug tests employees all the time. I work at a manufacturing plant and I've never seen anyone in the office get "randomly" drug tested, only the people who work out on the floor. But when you're working on machines and driving forklifts...probably better off not to be high. Wouldn't want some guy spacing out on a forklift while I'm walking by.

In a job like this that requires such, I have no qualms with random testing.

Take it to the insurance companies that offer lower rates to companies that randomly drug test. Want to bitch? Take it there.

Yes I care about losing my job but I prepare ahead of time to make sure I will pass. I am in very good with all of my upper management but they can't alter my tests.
