f***ing failed it and got let go today

Really sorry man.

If this is a job you liked i might contest it. Maybe even talk to a lawyer and see if there is a chance you can fight it. If there were any irregularities make an argument that there was simply a mistake. You never even been around the stuff.

Dang man I'm sorry about that. It really isn't fair for me to pass judgement on you or your actions because I don't know you at all. But if I had to give you advice it would be this:

A.) If you really enjoy smoking weed and honestly think you get medicinal value out of it than maybe you should move to a state such as California or Michigan where its is medicinally legal.

B.) Maybe its time to hang it up. I mean doing it every once in a while isn't going to hurt, but everyday might be a problem for someone who is just using it recreationally.

Once again I'm really sorry this happened and please don't take my comments in the wrong way.

If you were in good standing at work then I would ask them to forget about it if they're called for a reference.

That's a shame, I've seen way too many of my friends suffer difficulties because of weed and harder drugs. It's just not worth it when you risk so much.

Actually, my store manager completely disagreed with the whole thing, gave me his home and cell numbers and said I would get the highest reccomendation from him as a reference.

I'm going to call the person in charge of these policies come monday, explain my point of view and ask why it's necessary to lose my job over something so petty.

And I agree, suprisingly enough that I need to lay off big time. It's gotten to the point that I actually for once in my life admit that it's screwing my life up.

The answer is going to be a completely dissatisfying "Because its the rules, and we cant start making exceptions." You may have been the best employee ever but the rules is the rules...

Pretty much it right there.

When I worked at Halliburton, they were recruiting one of our contractors (and one of my best friends) very aggressively. He kept putting them off until he knew he was "clean" from weed. He would drink lots of water and test himself on a regular basis until the test came back negative.

Whren he finally gave in and tested, he didn't realize that Halliburton followed DOT standards. He came up 12 nanograms over the limit of 120 nanograms.

That is a miniscule amount and the test facility told him that if he had waited another 2 weeks, it would have been under the threshold.

He was slated to do some overseas projects with me and is very good at what he does on the international level.

Needless to say, they retracted his offer....

We had an incident as stupid as a picture of a kid w/ a large cell phone and a funny caption. Someone emailed to a person where I work. That person then forwarded to their normal email forwarding joke group. It went viral and went to tons of people. It went outside the company to another person and they were "offended" and called it bordeline kiddie porn because the kid's butt or something was showing (I never saw it).

So...a complaint was filed by the outside company. Comes to our HR and they look who forwarded it out and fired that person (petty I know right?). Then they started looking at people that forwarded it within the company. They were just getting suspensions...then someone presented it to the big dudes and stated that there may be grounds for suit if the punishment isn't the same across the board. Guess what happens next. If you forwarded the email...you were fired. Something as petty as an email.

Dude...I walked into work today and guess what they're doing swab testing to all employees... I'm kinda nervous because I smoked last night and dunno if I'll pass.. I've done some crazy stuff today like putting hand sanatizer on my finger and rubbing it into my gums, I went to the bathroom and washed my mouth out with liquid soap.... Plus I did my normal morning routine with brushing my teeth and using listetine. Anyone else have any other ideas??? It's comming at 5 so I don't have too much time till I take if so the mouthwash sportstAlk posted won't work for me...

But at least it's a swab test and I'm more likley to pass it over a piss test..

My question is should I just quit right now and avoid it or should I take a chance and hope I pass it... The only reason why I would quit would be so it wouldn't come up as I failed a drug test when I go to apply for another job.. Help asap would be great.

Tell them you have a family emergency, go to a head shop buy a kit take the test tomorrow.

      Brother.....I don't know how to tell you this but he said with a full off-season he likely would have led the Panthers to the playoffs which in fact is true.   You forgetting Rhule was the HC. He had this team looking like trash. Darnold/Wilks was a winning combo. The most relevant football we played in the Tepper era. This is facts.
