I don't like to brag, but I personally busted open the Professional Wrestling fraud--I called it fake and staged.  Now we know.  You're welcome.

Seriously--yes--if they can show Taylor Swift they will increase their market share--case study?  My wife.  She loves Taylor Swift and watches the Chiefs for that reason.  It is a non-threatening cult, like those who followed the Beatles.

On the other hand, if the news that the NFL is not putting "End Racism" on the endline of the endzones because the President is going to attend, they are not supporting racism--they just know that anything that appears to be against the President will be attacked by his followers--even something as obvious as that--so they are, in my opinion, attempting to avoid political discourse at games.  If you think Taylor Swift is part of political discourse, then perhaps you need to adjust your sense of logic and common sense.  She is remarkably successful and she supports humanitarianism.  If that is something your party attacks, then tell me more about your party.

Does that mean the game will be rigged?  Hardly.  We live in a nation where conspiracy theories are gobbled up like Milk Duds in a theater.  It is time we got back to thinking things through and questioning our sources of information.

Is "End Racism" gonna be replaced with "Mission Accomplished?"

Also, pandering to a half doofus that cares nothing about the NFL is just as dumb as pandering to Swifties who also care nothing about the NFL.

We need to take as much as possible out of the refs hands. Remove the human element as much as possible. Chips in footballs, lasers, replay, more defined rules, officiating by committee by people upstairs with a better view. Nothing is more annoying about football than “the human element” of officiating.

The NHL GENERALLY does a great job with reviews going through the league office.

Don't get me started on goalie interference though......

I don't think the games are outright rigged. But I do think they are nudged through bias and incompetence. These are the best athletes in the world. One small change or "mistake" and you totally change the dynamic of the game. I also think the NFL appeals far too much to the authority of the refs. They have been coddled far too long and have a sense of entitlement. For example, making PI's challengeable was a great move that made the game better. But the refs boycotted it and refused to make the correct calls.

They do not like being told that they are wrong and that is a problem for the game.

Except a repeat winner is not good for ratings, Bills/Commanders would have been a more interesting match up, or Mahommes vs Daniels, the superstar vs the rook, but alas we get another re-run

And dispite the bad calls, the Bills had a chance to win

Now in 2015 there is no doubt, Peyton going out with a superbowl win like Elway was a better story(to the mainstream audience) than Cam lifting another championship

If Cam did get injured diving on that fumble, the refs would have still ensured we didn't win

But honestly I think the refs are always going to be against us in the playoffs, The NFL doesn't want to market a Carolina Superbowl win

Philly was a better team than Washington. There was no fix there.

I refuse to believe the game is fixed. “NFL is rigged” is just a popular, trendy opinion sheep have

Yeah, when they started the there is a script handed out to all teams each season, I was floored. The nuances of planning and pulling off something on that scale would while keeping it secret is just nonsensical. Did they account for things like the Washington hailmary, tip passes, and other unpredictable occurrences every football season? Like @kungfoodude said, I have seen referees get into the flow of a game and struggle to get it under control, or just get swept up in the intensity of the crowd. I have literally seen a college basketball coach flip out on a ref caught up in the crowd pulse who had made four consecutive calls for the home team and they snapped out of it like they had been in a trance. Then the calls seemed to even out. It is human error plain and simple.

I definitely think there's bias in officiating, but I don't think it's an NFL conspiracy. I think it's just personal bias. You'll never in a million years convince me that 6 unflagged targeted shots to Cam Newton's head in SB50 was just an honest mistake, after Clete Blakeman spent the week before posting Broncos fan photos on instagram.

yep. no script, but refs are guilty of bias all the time. the more we can take the game from them, the better. they have only been getting worse.
