The Bobcats top priority in the offseason should be...

...trying to get AL JEFFERSON.

Best post moves since Hakeem.

He automatically helps you against Orlando because he can defend Dwight Howard one on one, and Howard has to defend him. He's also more affordable than Chris Bosh, and he's more of a banger inside than Bosh who prefers to shoot 15 footers.

This is probably a realistic option if you pursue him.

A player like Jefferson is a MUST for this team which is in the same Division as Orlando (D. Howard), but if the team wants Chris Paul, then try to work out some kind of multi-team deal to land both Paul and Jefferson.

How would you make that happen (Jackson is expendable, only Wallace is untouchable)?

What are the scenarios...e.g., a sign and trade of Felton?

Paul would be great, but still wouldn't solve the interior problems. The impact of Jefferson (6'10, 265 lb, 25 years old) would be monumental for this team.

I doubt Minny wants anymore PGs, plus the Bobs would be taking on way too much salary in Jefferson and would have to throw in Diaw or someone with a similar contract.

It won't happen.

I agree that PG is the position that needs to be upgraded most, but not sure that the Bobs have the assets/cap space to pull anything off.

The PG position does not need upgrading the most.

The Bobcats SUCK inside. If you have any conceptual skills whatsoever, what you notice in that YouTube clip is the amount of times other teams are trying to DOUBLE TEAM Jefferson. That's his biggest benefit if you want to open up an offense. Against Orlando, it forces Dwight Howard to stay home and concentrate more on "HIS MAN", which allows other players to get to the basket more easily.

"MULTI-TEAM" deal does not imply that Felton would have to go to Minnesota or New Orleans. Multi- means more than one, not exactly three.

    • I want to throw in how much easier it is for a QB to develop and improve with a good oline.  Huge credit to the front office for spending the money on our two guards.  Cade Mays also had a 2nd really good game starting at center.  Love how he has developed and hope he's the real deal. Look at what Stroud is dealing with now in Houston after injuries and problems with their oline.  Strouds accuracy has been greatly affected as it seems like he doesn't trust his protection. Canales is doing a great job developing Bryce.  I think the QB whisperer might be for real. And obviously big props to Bryce.  First round pick that looks horrible in his first year.  Different coaches and systems.  Fans and media are calling him the biggest bust in NFL history and he looked like it in the first two games this year.  Gets benched.  Young man keep his cool and just continued to work and only worry about what he can control.  I hope things continue like this and we end up with a great success story. Bryce Young kept pounding.
    • Outside of Philly (who currently is #3 in pass defense) the rest of our remaining opponents are bottom 1/3 of the League in that regard.  Let's see what Bryce can do versus bad pass Ds.
