Not to take anything away from Boston's defense, but many of the Magic's turnovers were unforced. They seemed sloppy and maybe that layoff of not playing a game in a week hurt them. But credit the Celtics for their defense. Their rotation on defense is really on point, one of the best.

I love Boston's Defense.

KG and Pierce may be the biggest assholes in the league, but you can't deny their defensive toughness and overall ability to their team.

I'm definitely rooting for Boston.

And Dwight's postgame interview yet again reminds me of why he's no Superman.

Yeah, you're 100 percent right. That's what I saw was a sloppy Magic offense. Just wait til they get warmed back up. I think Magic will win, I really feel that this series will go to 7 games.. though, because of Boston's defense and their successful post season experience.

Magic wont win. Boston is defending them the way teams should've been defending them. Stop treating Dwight Howard like he's David Robinson and quit doubling him. Play him straight up with Perkins or Garnett and crowd the passing lanes. Make Howard work in the paint farther out and keep him off the offensive glass. This makes all those 3 point shots harder to make because no one's cheating down to help and the passing lanes are cluttered. It also means if they miss, Dwight cant bail em out with an offensive rebound for another possession. The Magic forwards Rashard Lewis and Barnes will be exposed this series. I told yall, the Magic are PRETENDERS. Now that LeBron is gone, they have no motivation anymore to win. Beating him is their championship, and facing a Celtics team that they barely beat last year they looked shook yesterday. Its not the same motivation or series for them so I expect them to fold. Especially since Dwight will be limited for most of this series.

The turnovers battle was nearly even in games 1.

BOS- 15 TO's

ORL- 18 TO's

Both teams played sloppy, not just the Magic. I still think Boston wins this series in at least 6 games.

Yeah but a lot of Orlando's were unforced whereas Orlando forced some of Boston's. Take into account JJ's 2 charges which are 2 turnovers right there. A lot of turnovers from the Magic in the first half were just bad, sloppy passes.

Yeah no need to double Howard when you have Perkins and Wallace guarding Howard. Both of those players are really good, physical low post defenders.

If only the Bobs had done this.

The Cs stealing a win away from Orlando shouldn't be a surprise. Charlotte obviously matched up better with Orlando than did Atlanta, and Boston does basically the same things that Charlotte does, just only better.

So Boston didn't force some of Orlando's turnovers? The Celtics are playing defense right now the way they did 2 years ago when they won the title. And if they keep it up they will win this series. All credit goes to the Celtics, they won the game, Orlando didn't lose it. I don't think the Magic brought their A game but neither did Boston. 'Cause the Celtics had their fair share of sloppy turnovers as well. And if KG comes alive offensively, the Magic will really be in trouble then.

I am not saying Boston didn't. You have to credit Boston's defense, they played extremely well. But just from what I saw Orlando had more unforced errors. Their passes were sailing and sometimes not even near the intended target, especially in the first half. That's just what I saw. All I am saying is Orlando didn't make it any easier on themselves.
