Can Defense sustain Peppers loss?

I really didn't think he lived up to all the hype myself, I guess I was expecting another Lawrence Taylor coming out of unc, lol. But he did create alot of double teams, along with his share a sacks and qb pressure.

With the 8th ranked defense last year, how much do they fall off this year? I hope not too much, with young quarterbacks and only steve smith as our only wr threat so far, imo, we could be looking at a long season. Any takes on our defense?

We're going to improve in the secondary and the LB's. D-line might experience some drop off, but I think we'll still have a top ten defense.

We can't replace him with just one guy but hopefully brown, johnson, hardy, and norwood can fill in.

Other teams had to gameplan for Peppers and to a lesser extent Beason. Now all teams really have to worry about is Beason. Hopefully somebody on the d-line will step up, but I'm not optimistic. I don't think there will be a huge dropoff, but I don't expect to be nearly as good either.

Truth be told there are a lot of question marks going into this season, and defense is the least of them.

Either way it goes, it's going to be a very interesting season.
