T.O. in Cleveland?...

Doesn't a QB have to put the ball right in TOs hands for him to be a good receiver?

This.

With Jakes inability to get the ball to a receiver accurately, and TO's dropsies; I dont think this would work. TO seemed to chill a lil bit while in Buffalo, but dealing with Jake as QB is a whole different animal. It could work, though.

lol Can you imagine him with Delhomme? It would get very ugly very quick.

Why? Jake is good with crabby WRs. Smitty has a horrible temper and Jake always was able to keep him in check. If Jake can get back to closer to the 08 guy than 09 guy.....he would lock onto Owens just like Smitty and that alone would keep Owens happy.

Not sure Jake can get back to that though.

My observations of TO are alot like Moose. He can make the hard catch then miss the easy one. With a tall receiver like TO, all those high throws he can snag.

I think you misread but yes, they would benefit from bringing in Moose

Browns coach Eric Mangini indicated earlier in the week that the team would consider adding a veteran receiver if the fit is right.

Did I?

That quote just made me think Moose would be a good fit. I didn't realize we had to stick to discussion of Terrel Owens (as if there's not enough of that year in and year out). ;)

He would be a great fit and could be a mentor to the young WR that are there. Sure TO has caused many problems but he is getting old and can't produce like he used to so his mouth shouldn't be a problem anymore. Massaquoi put up some good numbers, great numbers considering the poor performance of the quarterbacks who couldnt pass for over 100 yards a game. Massaquoi broke many NC receiving records in high school. He didn't play great in college until his senior year but played in the SEC which had him against top competition. Massaquoi needs a vet to help him and the Browns are already a horrible team that is rebuilding so whats the worst that can happen?

Correct me if Im wrong but I don't think he had any problems in buffalo and had 829 yards and 5 tds for a team that didn't have a great pass game.

The statement below, posted by Mike Florio on ProFootBallTalk by Browns GM Tom Heckert should close the case as far as TO going to Cleveland.

"That's not the direction we're headed ... We don't plan on talking to him.", from Tom Grassi, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer."

Terrell Owens may have a problem hooking up with any NFL team unless he accepts a fairly low salary offer.
