He attacks the buffet with the skill and grace of a wide receiver. You'd never expect a man his size to be so nimble, the way he weaves around the other customers. And the quickness he shows grabing the biggest piece of pie, simply amazing. Granny Johnson just doesn't have a chance!

Jenkins is a highlight player. When he is not making those highlight plays, he is either average or not making any difference whatsoever. However because of those 2-3 highlight plays a game, he is a star in everyones eyes.

It's no significance that the Jets D hardly dropped a beat with him out.

He can be a fantastic player, however he can also be a malcontent who half asses. It all depends on what your preference is, consistency or the occassional jaw dropping play surrounded by nothingness.

Hmmm...sounds a lot like another 'great' defensive player we used to have around here.

highlight player does not equal 3-4 NT his job is to basically be the guy that sets up highlights for everyone else and he did a good job of it. and getting up to 390 when he was not playing football is not unheard of..Kemo got up to that when has was hurt. Jenkins will lose the weight

Another blown out knee, another off season where he is 400 lbs..maybe more.

Am so glad he is no longer a headache of the Panthers.

Jenkins had domianted in NY when healthy. He has played more than he has missed.

I had no problem with Jenkins. Sure he has booze weight issues. But the kid plays hard and plays well. Also, all he did was call it like it was in 07.

Ummm, that is great 'n all, but what a prototypical 3-4 NT does and what Jenks does is a different matter. When he was with us, he did not play NT as he was playing next to Kemo and Buckner, he was a highlight player just like Pep.

Since being with the Jets, he has been a highlight player.

Just cause a 3-4 asks the NT to do the selfless things, do you honestly see Jenkins as that type of player?!?!

He played just 244 of 1018 snaps (23%) of the season last year and in 2008 he played 610 of 1069 snaps (57%). Add them together and you get a player who has played in just 40% of his teams regular season snaps.

Love that quote from Jenkins - "I'd like to lose 45lbs before Training Camp."

How the hell has he managed to let yourself go that far?! He's meant to be a professional athlete.

Look at the end of the day he's a very, very talented player, but I'm glad he's not here anymore. He was a disruptive force both on and off the field towards the end of his tenure in Carolina, something this team doesn't need.
