Being last is a good thing. Foxy can post that in the locker room, and use it to motivate the team. Even I, as a fan, feel disrespected. Now we can fly under the radar

Whether or not you see it as a label, it is the truth. The rest of the nation doesn't know enough of the panthers to give an honest opinion, and don't care enough to know more of the panthers.

You may not see it that way, but from a view point outside of the carolinas, it very easy to see.

Half the people in and around Charlotte are not from here .

It took me 13 years to fully convert to the Panthers, but if we had a more exciting team I prob would have made the jump sooner.

We need to win over all the fans down here.

Green Bay and Buffalo are great small market examples. When Buffalo was good in 90's they got plenty of coverage. Green Bay gets plenty of coverage wether they are good or not.

How big do we have to get to be removed from this label??

I don't see it as a small market issue. Outside of 2008 we haven't had a winning season in 4 years and the media keeps discussing how the sacking of all our veterans will put us at the bottom this year. Outside of the huddle the perception among most folks- fans or talking heads, is that we are going to be third in the division, and out of the playoffs this year.

Sorta off topic since this is a thread about a fan poll, but I've felt for a long time that one of the reasons the "experts" have been, in general, so down on the panthers is because so many of them got burned in the 2005, 2006 seasons when many had us pegged for superbowl shoe ins.
