Whats going to happen if Moore struggles 2 games into the season?

Recommended Posts

i think after 2 games you still have to give moore the ball anyway...i think 3 or 4 games in then thats where you start making your evaluation clausen could get the ball if moore is still struggling then but i dont see him struggling after whipping the giants last season and i think the bucs will be much improved from last season but still wont struggle there....and dont knock pike or cantwell both like jimmy clausen havent seen nfl playing time....and if you dont recall tony pike had a better year the clausen did last season if not for kelly leaving pike would have went undefeated....but we'll see what it is when it all happens....remember matt's only making 3 million as compared to clausen whose probably making 10 or more million....since matt being an undrafted player

The QB that I saw in the last 5 games of last season will not struggle against the Giants and Bucs.

Do not put all your eggs in that basket. Those last five games, will be totally different than the first five games of the season going in as a starting QB. Moore should have 6-8 weeks to prove that he can really ball. You are what you are at that point and your eyes wont lie to you even if the team is 2-6, if Moore is doing his job and putting the team in position to win, then he should remain the starting QB.

Problem is we aren't the same team that we were the last 5 games last year. The defense allowed Moore not to have to do any heroics to win. It may be very different if we get into shootouts and Moore has to score 30 points or more to win.

If you remember we barely beat Tampa at home and had to stop them several times deep in our territory and in the endzone to win. No way this defense is as stout as that was.

Both are young, unproven QBs IMO. But with Moore already in the league a few years and finishing the season last year, he is most likely going to start the season, even if he doesn't play all that well in pre-season. Unless Clausen just throws lights out. I think with us picking up Clausen though, the competition should only motivate Moore to play well.

I'm ready to see what both QBs can bring in pre-season. Should be fun to watch.
