You're almost the exact opposite of me then. I think Adrenaline is probably their worst album....which isn't saying much, since I listen to that one almost as much as the others

This album is not as good as 'Around the Fur' but it's still really good. Way better than 'Saturday Night Wrist'.

My favorite tracks are 'Royal', 'You've seen the butcher' and 'Sextape'.

Personally, I'm just glad they didn't go with an incredibly depressing sound after Chi's accident. And it's also good to know that Mr. Carpenter still refuses to stick to a tuning from one album to the next. Helps solidify that the Deftones will never have a "standard" sound.

I'm quite aware of that. They just never came close to Seven Words or Engine No 9. I liked the raw inspiration of the first album vs the over produced soupy choruses that the rest of the albums seem to degrade into. Like the videos you linked above. The songs are ok until they get to the chorus, then its just a broken mash of melodic incompetence.

Bought it the day it came out........Love it! CMND/CTRL sounds as though it has quite the HELMET influence. And HELMET may be my favorite band of all time.
