bulls***t...his number were inflated due to playing Jake Delhomme...it also gave him more confidence, had he not played him he would just be a pretty good rook

lol is this a joke? you realize that Orakpo had FOUR sacks against OAKLAND? I guess they should remove those sacks since they were against a terrible offensive line. That makes sense. Oh, and Clay Matthews had 2 sacks against Detroit I guess those shouldn't be counted because Detroit has a bad offensive line too.

I can't stand that argument. Charles Woodson got half of his interceptions from terrible or rookie quarterbacks, and he won DPOY. Byrd > every rookie except Cushing.

Which makes this the perfect time to end the success of those who choose to use steroids.

They should punish the people they catch, but nobody should look down on Cushing as some kind of cheater when 80% of the guys in the NFL are using PED's.

Oh, I'm indifferent about the award, but just because people weren't stripped of the award in the past doesn't mean they shouldn't start enforcing things now.

But I'm not a professional reporter so it's cool, LOL

You're just a writer with "unnamed sources."

He had nine interceptions on the year. He picked two against Carolina. He also had two interceptions against the Jets the week before Carolina, as well as two against Houston the week after Carolina. He had nine interceptions while missing the last two games because of an injury. Are you really trying to tell me that his numbers are inflated because of Jake Delhomme??? Come on........

im jk but he racked em up against the sh**ty QBs...he played sanchez when sanchez was doing d**k

Cushing's case differs from San Diego's Shawne Merriman, who won the 2005 defensive rookie award, then tested positive in the 2006 offseason for steroids contained in a supplement. Carolina's Julius Peppers won the 2002 award even though he had already been suspended for the final four games of the season for violating the league's drug policy -- he used a dietary supplement that contained a banned substance.
