Another reason to respect John Kasay

Doc Holiday

I feel like if you need a screw in your leg tightened every month, your doctor is doing something wrong. Not to mention the permanent damage being done to the skin around that area. Eventually it will take longer and longer for that to heal. I seriously doubt this occurs. Of course, I'm not a doctor. My pops has a plate in his leg that has screws, and he has gotten them tightened once in like 10 years. He runs every day too.

just doing a quick google would show products that have been available for years already that seem to be guaranteed to never loosen...I'm thinking someone with an NFL pay cheque would get the best he can....

It's not weekly it's once a month and we aren't talking major surgery just minor

Still its kinda hard to believe he can recover in 6 days or less and be game ready. Even knee Scopes cause swelling. I know mine was swollen for about a week and a half.

Ok, first, at this point people need to stop the "screw loose" and "pulling your leg" puns.

Second, it's not improbable. What's unlikely is the part about the leg being "cut open" that would require several weeks to heal. But really, how big does an incision have to be to tighten a screw? You could probably just cut a small hole big enough to insert the instrument needed to tighten the screws.

It's not like they are replacing ligaments here, nothing needs to heal; this is superficial tissue damage; it's just skin over the knee. That would take days to heal, not weeks. I'd argue that if you had that kind of surgery on Wendnesday you'd be good to go by Sunday.

Were not talking about a few layers of skin though. They have to cut to the bone. The swelling and fluid alone would take at least a week.

Probably just a case of "telephone". Where it starts out that Kasay has re-adjustment surgery on his knee twice annually, and by the time it makes it's way here Kasay actually has a 3/8" ratchet on his nightstand to tighten his robotic knee screws daily. The report may be accurate, I just don't believe it to the degree stated.
