Posted this in another thread, but wanted to make sure more people saw it and is thread worthy on its own.

Could this be our own Steve Smith who has taken a moronic commenter to task? If so, I love the guy even more than before. See below.

All of the zeroes in your contract haven't bought you any common sense or class yet; You're a great football player--that's it. Take that away & what do you become? An angry man with several assault charges & no valuable skills set. While we're on the subject of how overpaid you are, here's a stat: 67% of former NFL players are broke 3 years after their careers. Look at how you've spent your money. I'm guessing there are more rooms in your house than people and that you also have several non-economical cars. Yes, you're just like most overpaid athletes.

A transcript of your interview reveals that you can't speak correctly [or assumingly, write correctly either, so there go the former-player Public Speaking gigs.] In a decade, the odds will be stacked against you for being skill-less and jobless. I would not hire you to mop my floors and take out garbage with your arrogance, even though you're very fast and catch footballs well....now. You have a great football work ethic, but you've exhausted all good will and credit that your MVP award has earned you. I realize that I'm just some blogger, but you can't just lose your temper every time someone speaks poorly about you. Have some temperance, humility, and confidence to ignore what other people say. Like it or not, they say it behind your back too--don't give them reasons to say more.
