Who's excited about Rosario/Moore??

Believe me, if Barnidge could block, he would have seen more time last season than he did. I say this because Rosario has done absolutely f**king nothing to keep his spot as the #2, but there he is on the depth chart week in week out even though he's a sub-par blocker and special teamer. Sure he can catch, but he never gets open so bleh.

Foxy doesn't like to play with his tight ends until they are good and ready (lol). In this case, Rosario IS ready, he's just meh/acceptable. I hope Barnidge focuses on the playing the ENTIRE position, yes not just catching balls, and takes Rosario's spot because Rosario is just not a #2 tight end and I'm tired of seeing him. Bury him in the depth chart as a wide receiver. Don't care.

Barnidge is not better than Rosario right now...

but that really really isn't saying much. like i said, Barnidge needs to step up his blocking or he's going stay on the depth chart behind an "adequate" player because he only focused on one element of the position while Rosario made sure to play each part of the position equally 'meh'.

The answer lies within a thread I started during the season regarding a Ysports (rotowire) snippet:

Mon, Dec 14

Rosario caught three passes for 26 yards in Sunday's loss to New England.

Recommendation: Even with the Panthers' switch to Matt Moore at quarterback over the last two games, the team's tight ends haven't become a larger part of the offense. Depending on the potential coaching changes during the offseason, a significant roster makeover could be on the horizon. Rosario could be a top-10 tight end if he ever gets the consistent targets, but that doesn't appear to happening anytime soon.

Why does everyone seem to see it but the people on the sidelines?

I would be very excited about Rosario, IF the coaches---and to a lesser extent, the QB---decide to use him as an effective weapon by calling some plays that are suited to his talents. Other than failing to get a top QB (which hopefully they have), and failing to get a viable threat at #2 WR (which again, hopefully they have), I think that failing to get Rosario involved on a more consistent basis is perhaps the biggest failing of our offensive coaching decisions. I trust that Moore and/or Clausen will not have the apparent tunnel vision of Delhomme and check their receivers. This, in conjunction with more balanced play calling, should help Rosario to flourish.
